Dr. Hardyway is an incredibly intelligent person. Not only is he knowledgable, he does something that too few teachers in life do: he teaches you how to think. He is also very approachable, interesting, and funny. Listen up, students. If you want to learn, seek Hardyway

I had him for intro to psychology (not online) and he was awesome! It was one of the harder classes Ive taken but he was worth it. He makes psychology very interesting and doesnt just read out of a book. Most of his quizzes and tests werent even on paper, he would give us scenarios and we would have to play like the psychologist. Well worth it!

I took his online intro to psychology course and he's a great professor! He truly wants you to do well and to succeed. He doesn't choose boring topics and he doesn't give an unbearable amount of work. 10/10 recommend! For the online course we had to do discussion posts and the topics were typically very interesting.

I took Dr. Hardyway's online psychology course. He is a tough grader, and you must turn everything in on time! He does not respond to emails right away. However, if you email him, he will answer any questions or concerns you may have. You must participate in discussions or you will fail. This class is very fast paced, but interesting!!!

I have struggled with this class this semester online. teacher requires you to sign in and respond to posts on 4 different days which kind of defeats the purpose of online classes and working at my schedule. terrible response time on emails. I have been waiting for a response on an assignment for a week now. whole class has same issue.

I took her online Development Psychology course. It was kind of hard to stay on top of the assignments. She would make a lot of things due on one day about a month ahead of time and let the students do it as they pleased. Some may like this approach, but I found it difficult to remember to do assignments until the last minute.

I took professor Hardyway's general psych class online for a filler class. Worst professor I've had in 3 years. Takes a long time to respond and very tough grader with no response for help. Wouldn't take his class again, not online at least.

So glad I read his reviews before I started work in his class. If you take him make sure you are detailed with the module questions (I mean 15-20 pages per module) and only use his links to answer the questions. He gives unlimited attempts on tests, so take advantage! Be active with discussions too! Class is a lot of work but you'll learn a lot.

He was a very tough grader, but graded very fairly to what you actually knew. I used the textbook quite a lot also to answer his questions. He has certain papers to write that you NEED the textbook for or else you might not get a good grade. But overall, he was a great professor and I am very glad I took him for psychology.

He is VERY specific on how assignments are completed. Make sure you complete 4 initial discussion posts b4 deadline, retake exam tests-he gives unlimited attempts. You MUST be DETAILED and give essay answers in your OWN words!! Class is not hard, but requires lots of time/effort. Fair/lenient grading, IF you follow directions, and he offered E.C.

Refused to grade my assignments, citing "book page number not shown" when I didn't even have the book. It was listed on the class website that I would receive credit if I used and cited the class page sources, which I did. When I complained to him about this, he gave me next to nothing points for the assignments. Then, a few weeks out from the end of the semester, he told me there was no way I could re-do my assignments, and that I would need to make perfect scores on all assignments and quizzes and tests from then until the end of the semester if I wanted to pass, even having the gall to suggest re-taking the class during the summer. Horrible teacher. Do not take his class! If I could give a rating lower than one star, I would.

Literally couldn't win w/this teacher. Essay Q's-answered them &included pg #'s either I really suck at essay questions or he just hates me but I got 20 out of 75 points my heart sank. Research activity-combined part 2 with part3 because they were the same & he didn't give me the points for part2 because according to him I didn't complete it. Boo!

Loved this class. I took it in High School and often find myself comparing him to professors I have now. He is so funny and lectures were interesting. We even took a field trip to a women's prison. Very helpful and knows how to entertain students.

A student shouldn't have to turn in assignments over and over to get credit for work they have already completed. I constantly had to reprint assignments. He also asked questions in class that you got points for but didn't write down the right people to receive points. May have to take class again bc it hurt my GPA and I am an A student. SUCKS!

I had him for psych, online! I do not recommend taking his class online. He is a very smart guy and the class is well organized, 1 test, 1 open discussion, 1 research project and 15 essay questions once or twice a month! The test are not that bad with google, but the essay questions will HURT your grade big time. If you are a lazy don't take.

He is a good teacher. Tests are extremely hard! If you read the chapters thoroughly it will give you a lot better of an understanding. There is not a lot of supplemental materials for what to study. Tests are over 4 chapter and I find it difficult to know the most significant topics out of 4 chapter. Stay involved in discussions!

Worst teacher I have ever had. let me explain why. He has one assignment where you have to answer 15 essay questions. So I answered them all with a pretty large paragraph each, but I forgot to include what page numbers I found each answer from in the book So I got a 10/75 grade. So i could have just gave the page numbers and got a 65/75?

I am in his online class right now and I hate it. He rarely sends out emails and when I emailed him about a test it took him over a week to reply (it wasn't helpful at all). His tests have nothing to do with the subject, although you do have the option of taking it twice if you want. Maybe he's better in person. I won't take him again though.

I took PSYC1030 online with him. I did get a B but it was endless hours of busy work having little to do with understanding the subject. He didn't accept late work and any questions if answered at all were answered after the assignment due date had passed rendering them useless. I would not recommend him or take him again.

Took his class while still in HS; gotta take him in person! His tests are hard and he makes questions almost impossible to get 'right' bc that's his actual philosophy of what psych IS. Researched DSMV for finals/project=told it's a book of opinions and there are no rights or wrongs. He convincingly reinacts symptoms of disorders. Briliant & fun.
