Comment:
Halpert is a funny, dry-humored, sarcastic, double Harvard grad who REALLY knows his stuff! This dude is basically a genius and his brain is a giant vault with endless information. He sometimes made "inappropriate" jokes that were a little outside of general political correctness, but it was nice to have a prof that wasn't afraid to be real.

Funny and has a sense of humor. That said, he is not clear at all with what he wants from us and goes off tangents during class. Also, if you have a "dumb" question he will more likely than not to be very sarcastic . Either way, an okay professor, just study and be on top of the material.

Professor Halpert has a reputation as a tough grader. His final exam was pretty difficult, especially under the time conditions. I didn't feel too prepared for it compared to other courses since there's not much feedback. He's really funny and I love him as a person. He knows the material well, but his lectures are boring and hard to understand.

I took Insurance Law. The lectures were very structured and clear, and the class environment was pleasant. Considering that insurance touches virtually everyone (especially attorneys), this is a class that one should strongly consider taking.

What I like about Professor Halpert is that he you can tell that he's passionate about the law. His demeanor makes you want to be engaged. He doesn't just talk at you, either- he'll ask the class a variety hypos after every case to make sure that you understand how to apply what you're learning.

He was absolutely infuriated that he had to teach 1L Torts, and he let us know it. Constantly insulting students and ignoring the reading just to ramble on about economics. Exam was basically a test on intentional torts. I have no doubt that he's great when he's teaching something he likes, but PLEASE don't let him teach torts again.

Expert knowledge. He studies the cases in such detail that he even knows background not published. An academic, old school professor that is ironic when appropriate but very helpful and willing to convey everything he knows. Just grader. You shoul know textbook and all problems at the end of each chapter. Get Gilbert to understand better.

Great professor, focus on the text book and make sure to know the specific provisions of the Bankrtupcy code that he emphasizes in class. If you pay attention in class, the final will be a lot easier than if not paying attention. Examples and explenations does an amazing job of clarifying the casebook and the code.

Knows his stuff, but it's still boring as hell. Strict attendance policy, but you're allowed a bunch of misses. Hard final, hard grader. Did no reading, got a C+ by using nutshell during final.

He's a good guy. It was a workshop, so the reading and work weren't as bad as a regular class. I'd recommend him for this.
