Even though I do not think I am able to complete the course this semester, Dr. Kerr has taught me a lot, and has provided an enjoyable class. I know that I could do better, if I were to practice, as he requires. However, he is kind, treats everyone fairly and with respect. Excellent and challenging course. Thank you.

Dr. Kerr is the man! He is genuine, and the real deal! Dr. Kerr is highly respected by the students and his fellow faculty members. I am sooo very happy that I am in the Wind Symphony. Dr. Kerr has developed this group to an extremely high level of musicianship. He pushes us to do our best, and we get the benefit!! Dr. Kerr is irreplaceable!

Over the past 4 years, Dr. Kerr has proven to be one of the best band directors in the world! He has taught me SO much about music and life! The lessons I learned from him will def help me when I start my career. Thank you, Dr. Kerr, for being the Band Dad that I hope everyone gets to have.

Dr. Kerr is "Just the Coolest Thing!" He has done SO VERY MUCH to help and encourage band AND orchestra students at LU! He is constantly looking for new opportunities to make our education meaningful and memorable. He has faithfully worked many years to provide what is needed in band, jazz, percussion, and LUSO so we all can perform our best.

Dr. Kerr is the ONLY prof who comes to our senior recitals (except for our private teachers, of course). I know how busy he is, but he cares enough about us and me to support us when his ensemble members play important solo recitals! Thank you for being there and showing how much you care!

I transferred from another university, and Dr. Kerr and the Wind Symphony far surpass my other college. Dr. Kerr is incredible as the LU Wind Symphony director! No one that I know of knows the repertoire and how to lead better than Dr. Kerr! He is fabulous and cares so very much about each of the members! I love Band!

Dr. Kerr has developed the band program at Liberty, and obviously has invested his life and love in the groups. The Wind Symphony is fabulous, because of his knowledge of the genre, and his skill is getting us to perform to our best. The Marching Band is a well-oiled machine that includes wonderful opportunities for leadership and growth.

I did not know what to expect when I signed up for Instrumental Conducting class. However, I immediately realized that Dr. Kerr is a master conductor, and this was finally the class that really taught me valuable skills that I could directly apply to my future career. If you want to learn, his is THE class to take!

He was always ready and willing to help any student in time of need. More than a teacher, he was our band coach. Dr. Kerr loved us and loves the Lord. He is the kind of teacher that gives Liberty its positive name. GREAT band director!
