Comment:

The only thing he would ever tell me for critique was to put more bank on the hips. He always gave us broken rigs to work on and would never tell you your actual grade until it was posted at the end of the year. I took up to computer 3 with him. Now that I am in computer 4, I wish I had changed my major.

Steve is a great teacher. Although he seems like he's always pissed and super serious, if you have a legitimate question he'll willingly help you out. DON'T HESITATE TO ASK. Of course, there is a pretty decent amount of work and there is two or three group projects on top of other homework he assigns you. Always attend class too.

Steve really knows what he's doing, and you should take advantage of that. Like any art class though, he can't pour the information into your head. You can't be taught to be artistic, all he can do is help give you the tools. I highly recommend taking a lot of traditional classes as well though.

Steve knows what he's doing. If you're willing to learn, have patience, and commit to this growing industry and profess in a specific area you will see promising results. A little fast during the earlier Comp courses, but they encourage you to learn beyond the walls of the classroom. Extremely helpful and supportive.

He should tell his students in the beginning that you can only get an A if you go "above and beyond" his expectations. He didn't tell my class until well after the website assignment. And his expectations are way too high for the different levels of people in my class. Nice guy sometimes though.

In response to the previous rating: Easy instructions for out of class assignments? Are you kidding? That would completely defeat the purpose! We do them to apply our knowledge on our own, as we will have to when we have jobs! And if you ask me, this class moves too slow. He spends at least half an hour helping students who are behind each day!

I really disliked this class! I think it would have been better if there were simple written instructions that the students could follow for their outside assingnments. The class just moves way to fast, so it is hard keep up if you don't know very much about computers.

Steve is one of the most skilled teachers in Edinboro. He may teach his class fast, however to be a computer animator you need to think fast. Sometimes its hard to do what he is showing but if you ask him to slow down and explain, he will. If you show interest in the class he will help you improve.
