Comment:

This professor is so rude. I have not taken the class yet but I emailed to be included in her online class and she was snappy in the emails telling me "you're out of luck." In what education world are Professors so discouraging? Now I can understand why students are discouraged when they want to take classes and are hesitant emailing Professors.

The class is online and a lot of her assignments are very fun and will help learning with the subject of the module. There is a quiz, midterm, essay and the final. She does give a study guide , make sure to study. All her assignments are part of the grade and easy to complete.

Dr. Haynes is absolutely amazing! Her assignments get you thinking and wondering about the people you associate yourself with and the direction youre going with your own life. She makes it fun and makes you want to come back for more each week. Highly recommend her online class.

Comment:

I took Dr. Haynes class this Fall 2017, and never really came to class. However, I did do all the homework and extra credit on Canvas; which all the assignments are done. She only have one mid-term and one final, I didn't do that well on both but the Canvas work is pretty much your grade, I got a B. She talks about herself a lot and TLC too.

Super easy class, does not take roll. The book she requires is cheap, but you don't really need it. Most assignments are personal and all are done online. Felt like more of a personal therapy semester rather than a pysch41 class. She tends to spend 1/2 class retelling stories you heard the week before. Point, easy and gets you the grade to move on

Well the class is very easy but she was very rude and very unclear. she posted an assignment online that was blank and when I asked her about it she replied , "and?" That's not acceptable at all. I didn't learn anything I didn't know already. I can't believe she communicates with her students like that !!!! im not kissing ass !

She is a very passionate about her career and wants all her students to learn as much as possible. If you are looking for an easy "A" it wont happen. You really have to work for it! But she is a great professor, whom you will learn a lot from.

Dr. Haynes motivates me to come to class every nigh, thats just the tip of the ice berg. Dr. Haynes leaves you wanted, she makes this class real life. I mean she breathe life into her work and I enjoy every night with her. I usually go to bed around 8pm, but I stay wide awake in her class. Wish we had more teachers like her.

Dr. Haynes was an amazing professor! When I took her class in Spring 2015, it was an amazing experience. She has a great sense of humor and makes the class fun. When I was in her class, it was a hybrid. You would come to class for the lecture, but homework would be online on Etudes. I highly recommend Dr. Haynes. This class was easy to pass.

I took this class 12 years ago and I still clearly remember the experience. I loved Dr Haynes-Burton's teaching technique so much that I have incorporated some into my teaching technique with great success. She was very inspirational and I will always remember the first discussion we had in class about the debate over nature or nurture. Great class

Whoever the person is that said she's disorganized and doesn't hand work back was in some other class. If the work is not posted, simply wait for it and then do it. She is organized, inspirational, encouraging, respectful, and unbiased. Our assignments were all about finding out who we are; I've never grown this much in my life.

This professor was picky when it came to assignments. She would deduct points from my assignments if I didn't answer certain questions, but she wouldn't post them! She's not clear on what she expects and she's unorganized. She didn't post assignments when she said she would and she took forever to grade our work. Wouldn't recommend her at all.

I thought she was one of the student at first sight. Then I thought she was a little ghetto, with all the singing and dancing. I learned that she was one of the best professors at the Southwest campus. She made the class fun and interesting. That doesn't mean we didn't work. But I would take her for any other Psych class. One of the BEST.

Not very many tests but the test can be difficult but not too hard. COMPLETE HOMEWORK. If you do all homework assignments on time you will pass the class. Attendance is mandatory for success. Great professor. Learned a lot and she understands so communication is key to success in this class. Super cool teach with a sense of humor.

I took psych 1 on campus before with a teacher that taught us nothing and ended up failing. i was hesitant upon taking it online, but im glad i did! Dr. Haynes is an amazing teacher, and the course was pure and simple. Did not use the book at all, but it doesnt hurt to buy it if you need help later on. Amazing class!

Dr. Haynes is a great professor keeps class fun and interesting gives many scenarios to help the students understand what is being taught. Book doesn't matter. Attendance and homework does. Book is good to have but don't bring it to class. You will need the book to study for test.
