She was a good professor. We had assignments due every week and they were very easy. I'm pretty sure she didn't really look over them too thoroughly because she always graded the assignments quickly. There is a midterm and a final, which were a little tough because of the true and false questions. There's a couple of projects which aren't hard.

Overall, the class was do-able. Lots of assignments and projects but they're pretty straightforward and don't take too much effort. Powerpoints are online, lots of guest speakers, 2 films, fashion show. The only difficult things are the exams. She says you can find it in the lecture slides but I couldn't find most answers anywhere.

Dr. Marshall is very passionate about what she teaches. She is very knowledgeable & clear with her lectures. Yes, there are a LOT of group projects that are hard work, but the projects have a purpose. I learned so much from ALL the assignments & her lectures. Exams are difficult, but they are online & she gives study guides. I loved this class!

AMAZING. This is by far one of the best classes of my college career. Dr. Marshall is refined, incredibly knowledgeable, and truly inspirational. She is a GEM! You definitely will have to work in her class- but you will finish with a renewed sense of confidence and ready to conquer the fashion world with all the skills you learn. The class in FUN!

I don't know why Dr. Marshall has so many bad reviews, I really liked her! Be prepared to work for your grade... there's A LOT of projects and little assignments. This class is a ton of work, but projects were interesting/fun & totally relevant. She really puts effort into what she does and it shows, even if the class is a lot of work. Recommend!

People have to realize that yes... you have to actually work to earn a high grade and earn your degree. Dr. Marshall is dry and a little unhelpful but this isn't high school. You have to be on top of it and figure things out on your own. She won't hold your hand and walk you through the class, but you learn a lot in this class if you really try.

Professor Marshall may be experienced in the industry, but she doesn't understand the first thing about being helpful. She is extremely stuck up, and her exams do not help you retain information for the future. I e-mailed her for some HELP on my class schedule, and she said she "wasn't allowed" to help. She has a bad reputation for a good reason..

Dr. Marshall is in the fashion business, so she has all the attitude that comes with it but she knows what shes talking about. She replies to emails frankly and isn't very considerate. Most of your grade comes from group projects-pick people who you want to work with. Something about her is just eh. The tests are pretty tough download her pwr pts.

I took this class last year. It's so ridiculous that they require students in that class to fund raise $150 for the school fashion show and it will affect the class grade?!? Many people have to pay out of their pockets. I hope the school could pay attention to this problem. Many fashion students do not like it.

Her lectures and powerpoints are extremely boring, and the online exams are kinda hard. Only because it's basically a scavenger hunt trying to figure out where she's getting the information from. She kinda has a stuck up attitude. Class is mostly a bunch of group projects but they're fun!

She is the worst professor I ever had so far. The school should have some programs to evaluate professors. Although she is the fashion dept directer,PHD graduated, her attitude to many students are really rude. Especially on the email reply, she replies when she feels interested.

She had a lot of projects in her class. They weren't hard but a bit time consuming. The tests were online and most of the information could be found in her PowerPoints and textbook. Overall, fairly easy class and you learn a lot about the fashion industry.

She uses ppts mainly. You get two chances to take your tests and they are all online. She is nice and easy going. The grading wasn't as strict as I thought. You also get so many chances to earn extra credit. You also get to learn so much about the career paths you can do. I recommend you taking her class!

You have to take her and get use to her. She is awful teacher and she lost my papers many times. She posts everything online so it makes online exams easy. As for clarification on projects and ask about internships then you might get on her good side which you need!

Very lenient with grades and E.C. Flys through powerpoints and doenst give you a chance to take notes.Online exams but the questions are misleading and don't reflect the material. Grading can sometimes be unfair. Projects are fun and she has tons of experience in the field and has a lot of good info to offer. Mandatory attendance.

When doing projects, ask ask ask for clarification and guidelines! I was taken off points from my project on technical things that she did not mention in her project explanation. (1 point from an A!) A bit rude, also, but like the others have said, she knows her stuff and offers lots of opportunities.

Good luck!!!! I have no idea how she got a PHD, her spelling is ridiculous, her assignments are easy but her outline is poorly written and confusing. She takes FOREVER to write back to you, and does NOT explain what she wants!! Seriously a horrible teacher!!!!

She knows what she's talking about. What I liked best about her is that she really goes out of her way to help you. She'll e-mail you possible internships or jobs (one of which I ended up taking) to get you involved in the industry. Gives out a lot of extra credit and the tests are fairly easy. LOTS of group projects.
