She is super quick to respond! If you ask her for help she is always there to answer your questions. I definitely recommend her if you have to take Research. You will get an A so long as you are not afraid to reach out and ask for clarity and also if you do the work on time. She is polite too!

This class was a big waste of time and money. She taught really basic things such as audience, purpose, pre-writing, narration, thesis statements, paragraph organization, sentence fragments, coma splices, run-on sentences, about plagiarism, formatting an essay, cause-effect essays, quoting, citing, and paraphrasing. We learned this stuff long ago.

She practically failed me on my first paper when I had never gotten under a B in a paper my whole life. But she does give a LOT of feedback, stuff you didn't realize you were doing wrong your whole life. Take in what she says about your writing and APPLY it to your next paper and you should pass. Got an A on the second paper. Tests are easy as hell

The lectures are very interesting ! She gives you an opportunity to rewrite your research paper if you've gotten a grade that you don't want but the class if fairly easy , she's goes exactly by the syllabus and is very open minded to everyone's ideas. There's a lot of reading but they are all interesting.

The teacher makes the assignment unclear sometimes. She will tell you that you have some good information in your paper and then when she grades it says it doesn't fit in.. she has no grading rubic and grades really harshly. She doesn't put in grades into i college you have to email her to get an estimated grade.. way of grading is blah!

She's a nice teacher, but she NEEDS TO PROVIDE A GRADING RUBRIC. I feel like she's just coming up with random grades off the top of her head. She grades very hard. I'd never take her class again.

Overall this class was very hard. Literature was never at my interest. But my only complaint is that I dont like that most of our tests questions comes from students opinions. She makes up questions on the go based on student responses. Other than that she was an ok teacher.

EXCELLENT TEACHER!VERY QUICK TO RESPOND TO EMAILS.Very helpful! She wants you to ask questions. Seek her help and you will learn from her.Be respectful,communicate properly...this IS English. 3 essays & 1 research paper. Essay for final.I'd take her AGAIN! Be willing to work. Learned A LOT - rec'd an A. Can't sing her praises enough!More than fair!

Horrible. A nightmare, she is no question the worst professors at any GPC campus. She does not help with anything. She couldnt teach a baby how to cry. She will smile in your face, while she gives you an F behind your back. I didnt even know my grade until the week of finals. To say I despise this woman, would be an understatement. DONT TAKE HER!!!

Went into class thinking, hey Im not the best writer and Im not really a fantastic reader, but when I got to class I found out I was a horrible writer, the entire time I never got a above a "D" on a writing paper extremely strict with grading a paper. There is tons of reading to do! Will never take her again. But she is nice though.

I've never been the type that likes to read and/or write. Mrs. Shue makes what you read a little more interesting by making you think of it in ways that you normally wouldn't. If you are looking for an easy A like I was,I say don't take her, but if you are interested in literature then she is the prof for you. Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable.
