Comment:

Great with students who struggle with public speaking. Missing this class results in serious deductions. The hardest part of the semester is the group speech, don't procrastinate.

Comment:

Best instructor I have ever had. She was like fair and helpful. If you go to class you will get an A. I missed many classes so I got a C, but she lets you know at the first of the semester that the consequences of missing class. She will always respond to emails quickly. If you have a problem she is really easy to talk to.

She was so caring and made sure everyone did well, she made one of the most dreaded gen ed i had to take wonderful, I would only take her speech class especially if you are a nervous speaker because over the course she will help you if you ask her.

She is honestly the best teacher! I loved having her and even though I hate speaking in front of people she made it easy and fun!! There is no other speech teacher that I would ever want to have.

Awesome speech teacher. She is so kind and understanding of students that fear public speaking and she wants to help everyone get better. The class is very straightforward and she doesn't try to make a simple subject difficult or assign a lot of out of class work. She does grade attendance.

There is no one else id rather have taken speech with. As mush as I hate public speaking, with Dr. Elwood's help I was able to make it through this class and learn a bit.

Terrisa is my favorite professor that I've had at OSU so far. I was very apprehensive about taking speech, but she makes it so easy and fun and takes the stress away. She reminds me of what Elle Woods from Legally Blonde would be like if she became a professor. Terrisa is very accommodating and makes it nearly impossible for us not to succeed.

Terissa is by far the best speech professor at OSU, she makes the course accommodating to the students and truly has a passion for the class. She truly cares about each individual student. For those who are made nervous by public speaking she is the perfect professor. Do the work and show up prepared, effort goes a long way. Favorite prof at OSU!

She is a real nice and caring professor but heads up she is a shockingly picky grader pertaining to speeches. She grades hard for the best but I noticed she would grade harder and more nit-picky on people who had not developed as much confidence to speak in front of a class. All students should be graded on the same scale. Don't take if too nervy.

Terissa Elwood is hands down the most caring and passionate professor on OSU's campus. She is not an easy A, but she is not outrageously tough either. This is a fairly graded general education course. DO NOT take any other speech professor, that would be a huge mistake! She is the best.

BEST TEACHER EVER! she is so sweet & caring & makes class fun! Getting an A in her class is a breeze, and you only have to give 2 speeches. Very bubbly & easy to talk to. Always smiling and chipper.

She is one of those professors that turns a class you dread taking into one that you enjoy. She is very understand when it comes to speechs and if you need to talk to her about anything, she makes it feel like your talking to your mom. I highly suggest this professor to anyone and everyone.

Terissa has been the best instructor I've had in my college career. She takes a dull subject and makes it interesting so that ANYONE can get pumped about speech. It's an easy class if you are good at English and making speeches.. the thing that tripped me up was the midterm exam. It's tough; the class average was a C.
