Tim is a really interesting guy and his class is also pretty interesting. He gives an A to everyone unless you do something really wrong. The homework is very minimal, it was basically only reading articles and the final group project. The only thing that wasn't enjoyable was that he didn't really give clear instructions for any of our assignments.

I heard from a lot of people that Tim was both a great and laid-back writing teacher. I found his comments on my essays useful, and he wants to get to know you individually and help you become a better writer. I was in his last writing class before his retirement, and I am so glad that I had the opportunity to be one of his students.

Took this class two years ago. Fitzmaurice was a great writing teacher. Loved how he was so laid-back. He understood the situation that students were in as it was mandatory to take this course. He really pushed his students to learn and wanted them to really make an improvement on their writing.

Very fun to go to class! He keeps you on your feet and you're always learning something. I took writing 2 in the summer and although the classes were forever I got it out of the way and probably got an A. Tim really cares about you doing well in the class and will make time to meet with you if you can not see him during his office hours.
