Pointless busy work, hard to please, and near impossible to complete projects. Also, if you don't memorize the chapters, know you're not passing any of his tests. Like, does Dr. Frawley realize that we only have three months to do all of this in a mini? Does he realize that we have more classes? And how do we go about getting a 100% on anything?

He is a very nice guy, and means well. However, he does not explain his assignments. He does not respond to emails most of the time, and will not look over work if you ask him to. His tests are very objective.

Comment:

As a person, he is a really good man. As a teacher, he knows his stuff. However, though the work is not hard -- WAY too much busy work. I learned nothing from the LOOOONG assignments, which required a lot of time. The Practi****served a purpose, but the write-up was a huge waste. Also, Frawley is difficult to please. He is a tough grader.

Ridiculous amount of work - half of the assignments would have conveyed appropriate material. Two tests with no review - just given chapter numbers that they include(each test contains several hundred pages from the textbook). Grading is very opinionated. Pick his favorites and you'll do fine.

Nice guy, but somewhat dry in lectures. Not very practical in the assignments. Have to take him for Chil Lit I think, but not Psych....so you choose. Nice and easy or actually learn someting for when you hit the classroom...up to you.

This class was one of the biggest wastes of time I've ever had. Try and avoid having Dr. Frawley for this class. It's a lot of busy work. In the end you will never want to look at a Childrens book for as long as you live.
