Honestly Dave is way too specific about what he wants. He tells you that there are many ways you can do things, but then takes off tons of points when you don't do it exactly how he wants it done. His lectures are boring and he just constantly repeats himself.

Dave was a very nice professor to have, but he never seemed to answer questions completely. All answers turned into life lessons when you just needed a simple response, and it got to be confusing.

I thoroughly enjoyed having him as a professor. He is very detail-oriented and you have to follow his specific organization when it comes to the speeches, but otherwise his class was very easy. He's more focused on learning and growth instead of assignments and grades.

Is really bad at letting you be creative. Find a different professor for cst. You won't regret it. He takes points off of your paper just because he wants to. Also, lectures are always boring, he repeats himself every class. Oh, and he also doesn't teach you about speech. Just a bunch of life lessons.

Dave was super nice and really showed he cares for his students. His lectures are repetitive and long but he has 2 exams that are very easy and only 3 speeches. Exams are based off of lectures so you have to go to class. Would take again!

Dave is such a great man. The only thing he cares about is his student's success. He often shares personal stories about his own life and he really makes his class into a positive, comfortable environment. I hate speaking in front of people, but he does a really great job of making his students comfortable and confident. Great professor.

Literally like listening to a broken record; every class was the exact same. Upside is you only give 3 speeches, but that also means its pretty much the only thing youre graded on.

There's 3 speeches (informative, group, and persuasive). He repeats himself a lot in lecture so they can get long but the repetition helps the information stick. He truly cares about students and wants them to succeed in the class and in life. Go to his office hours they're super helpful!

Takes a 100 class way to serious, does not let you be creative in any way. Same presentation over the entire semester. Tries to be "motivational" but just stuck in the idea of college. Never take him.

Heavy on textbook reading. You don't really need to read the textbook to get through class, but the midterm exam is directly from the textbook. VERY lecture heavy. Three speeches, grades each of them fairly tough.

Dave is a very caring professor and is always in a great mood no matter what. If you don't work hard and provide value in this class you may not do well.
