I don't think i've ever had a worse professor. Hate doing homework? sucks, cause he gives about 4 reading assignments every night and sometimes papers are also due on the same day. everything MUST be printed out before class. Think the readings are short? WRONG. He belittles you when you email him and makes you feel stupid. One of the rudest.

This has to be the worst class I have ever taken. Professor Rozell is VERY unclear about his assignments and schedule and does not take time to engage via email which makes it even worse. While the discussion questions are manageable (just barely), Professor Rozell is extremely tedious when grading essays. He is unapproachable online and careless.

Make sure you read the textbook! There are several pop quizzes based on the assigned readings, with very specific questions. It is important that you understand the readings to perform well on the reading quizzes because negative points will be awarded if you try to make up an incorrect answer. Grammar quizzes are not too hard if you are prepared.

Comment:

Prof. Rozell was very specific what he wanted included in papers. You must do your research on the topics he assigns or you will receive a poor grade. He had 6 or 7 pop quizzes on readings in the book and 10 quizzes on grammar (you must read/study for them). Hes actually a very funny and chill person if you talk to him about his personal life.

Professor Rozell is rude, pompous and is never clear about what he wants handed in the next class (there is always something due or a pop quiz). Also, he does not use blackboard so no grades or homework is posted anywhere. He expects everyone to think the way he thinks and he made my writing a lot worse.

Prof. Rozell is a nice guy and his lectures are interesting but the workload for this class is ridiculous. You will have brainstorming assignments due for every class and will have pop quizzes on all of your readings. If you're willing to put the work in you can get an A but if you slack off, good luck! Also attendance is mandatory.

I took this guy's class a few years ago, and here's what still stands out- He tried to convert me to an english major, I did well in the class, but later when I asked him for a letter of recommendation, he told me he was too busy. Never had anyone else do that before or since.

I found it easy to get a good grade in the class as long as homework was done and read for the pop quizzes. Very enjoyable class, Mr. Rozell is hilarious and makes boring subjects interesting.

Prof Rozell was awesome! I dont know why people are complaining about the class, I had no problem getting an A. He is so funny and helpful he definitely went out of his way to help a student if they were struggling with something. If you have a chance take his class! You will greatly benefit from it (: Ps. I was in his Thinking & Writing.

Mr. Rozell's class is difficult, but he is incredibly fair. He clearly outlines each and every detail on every assignment. He went out of his way to help me out whenever I was having trouble. Work hard, and you'll do well. Just about everything he teaches is applicable to outside the classroom.

You either love him or hate him. Or you hate that you love him. His brainstorms are ridiculous and he'll take points off for the smallest things. You'll want to hate him every time you sit down to write for him. But he's so insanely funny and you can't help but like him in class. He's very helpful, but everything is his way or no way.

Professor Rozell is one of my all-time favs! He's challenging at first, but by the end of the semester I started really doing well. If you take him, be sure to meet with him for paper meetings--he helps a lot!
