Comment:
He's a good guy and has a good occasional joke, but I feel like he was not suited for teaching. He kept going off onto irrelevant topics. It did not help that his accent was thick and he talked rather slowly. Lectures felt like a waste of time, but there are quizzes. Study guide for the tests were worthless.

He's a really nice guy. Heavy accent but he's funny and cares about your learning. An easy class but also very interesting.

Let's just say... Before this class, I knew nothing about physics. After this class I STILL know nothing about physics.

Comment:
This is probably the worst professor I've had at Oregon State. I have had numerous foreign professors but at least those professors were helpful. Attendance is mandatory because of his quizzes but it will feel like a complete waste of time because you can't understand him. There is no outside help and no blackboard/canvas (GL finding out grade)

Dr. Tom certainly makes lecture enjoyable with jokes and cool demonstrations. He is a little vague as to what he's teaching but would post everything to his website in case you missed something. Very helpful if you come talk to him. Tests were super easy and was very easy-going when it came to the term paper. Overall good teacher and easy class.

Comment:
He is very interested in renewable energy, but is very confusing. He mumbles a lot and gets off topic constantly. Paying attention in his class if difficult because it does get slow, and random quizzes happen as well. He is very nice when you speak with him, and he does try to help if you go to him.

He is a nice guy, but speaks english worse than I speak french after 1 term. He is completely tangential. There is no continuity in his lectures what so ever. Over 90% of the class stopped attending lecture after the first 2 weeks.

Dr. Tom is very willing to help as a teacher, and his classes are always interesting. He wants his students to be engaged in their learning. He does have a heavy accent, but if you take the time to listen to him, he's very knowledgeable.

Mileage may vary with Dr. G. Sitting through his lectures requires some patience because he has a thick accent and can take a moment to organize his thoughts. But, he is very interesting to listen to & his experience shines through on the subject matter. Not your standard PowerPoint regurgitation Prof. Talk to him for clarification. Very helpful.

He seems like a sweet, funny, guy and he's very forgiving about grades. He'll work with you and bend over backwards to be helpful. HOWEVER, he is not suited for teaching. Lectures were unorganized and incoherent. He spent most of the time fumbling over unnecessary experiments and trying to figure out the computer.

The man is old as balls and speaks with a thick polish accent. He is extremely hard to understand in class, that is when he isnt mumbling or off on a tangent. He is a very likable man, and I am sure very smart, but he should not be teaching. AVOID him at all costs, this include taking dedras course.

Complete mess. Unable to finish a thought. Totally ignored previous curricula, assigning problems well outside knowledge students would have had from pre-requisites. Contradicted self, gave unclear instruction, wasted class time playing with unrelated programs. No instruction on coding. I seriously question his sanity. Avoid at ALL costs.

Professor Giebultowicz is an outstanding teacher! He is ALWAYS willing to help and will go the extra marathon if needed to help students in need. He is fairly laid back in his teaching style and expects students to show interest in the subject matter. If a student shows interest, I've never seen anyone have difficulty in his courses...

He is always willing to help. The course is not easy, but if you put in the time and energy and use his office hours, you shouldn't have a problem passing or even getting a good grade. He is definitely an entertaining prof.

He was given the class just a couple days before it started and I still learned a lot in the course. He has a heavy accent, but when you get past it he's funny, engaging and helpful.
