This guy simply does not care about you. He puts no emphasis on difficult problems so you're literally better off just learning directly from the book. He doesn't tell you whats in the final so you better have practised every single problem off every section of the book. Oh, even though you have an A, he'll fail you if you missed concepts on final.

Really bad teacher. He wouldn't even explain or go through the final. He also forgets how to solve problems. The only good thing is that he lets you use statcrunch and a calculator. I recommend not getting this professor.

Horrible person and horrible professor. Very irresponsible. Doesn't look like he has an idea about what's going on in the class. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. He is gonna loose your test scores and FAIL you at the end even if you get A's on all the tests. The worst professor in the world.

he is the worst teacher you can find on the planet. he does not explain the lesson. he just summarize it and give lots of homework. and he try to be funny but he is not funny at all.

Beginning of the semester I read all the reviews on RMP and was pretty nervous about taking his class. To be honest, I think these reviews do injustice towards McQuilkin. Sure he may not be the most fun but he's a standard math professor who allows StatCrunch (practically does all the work) and has fairly easy test. Give him a chance.

This teacher lets you use a graphing calculator and a program called Geogebra on all quizzes and tests. He doesn't give grades for homework. Also, on tests he gives TONS of extra credit. He usually takes his own personal grade on the test and makes that 100%, so if you do better than he does on the test you get above a 100% grade.

OK this guy is a tough one. I got my butt kicked to get an A in his class. He is more focused on finishing the book than making sure you understand what he is teaching. The internet was more useful than him.

I really enjoyed in this class. Professor McQuilkin is very kind and at the same time, responsible. He grades tests and quizzes very fast and explains all common mistakes. I fully recommend this course for those who are ready to work hard at home and in class; for those who are prone to do extra work.

Math 136 itself is hard, he makes it even harder. He is not a good professor, he doesn't explain the material well. Just don't take him. It's all about how good the professor is. He gave me a D, i retook the class with Sandra Romero and got an A!

He makes mistakes every time he lectures. I had to ask my friend every time when I did my homework because he's from the other class and his teacher taught different methods which makes it easier and more understandable. I had to study on my own ALOT because I don't really understand his teaching.

He's not very good at all. Unless you're a master at teaching yourself Stats or have someone who can tutor you, it's best you stay away. There's a reason his class never has a waitlist. He is such a tough grader and is also pretty rude and goes off on tangents A LOT. Makes class go by so slowly.

Never in all my years in school have I seen such horrible teaching in mathematics. I've had straight A's in every math class before this course because of some amazing math teachers, but after taking this class, I see that this teacher is the complete opposite to them. Don't take his class unless you like to completely self study.

Just don't take the class with him. You can honestly learn more by reading the book and watching videos on YouTube. Mostly everyone in the class has already taken the class, and is taking it a second time. His homework is ridiculous, he assigns way to much and then gives you a quiz which consists of 5 questions from the homework. DONT DO IT!!!

Worst class I have taken to date. His teaching style is very strict. He expects you to know the material before the lectures. However, since this is an introductory course you do can't know the basics of statistics. I have to say, his tests are relatively easy so focus on the simple concepts. He is quite helpful, get on his good side.

HORRIBLE TEACHER!!! DO NOT TAKE HIM! IF YOU NEED THIS CLASS AND HE IS YOUR LAST CHOICE, I RECCOMEND YOU TAKE A DIFFERENT CLASS THE NEXT SEMESTER. THERE'S A REASON HE DID NOT HAVE A WAITING LIST. TAKING HIS CLASS IS LIKE TAKING AN ONLINE CLASS BUT YOU'RE PHYSICALLY THERE. YOU'RE BASICALLY TEACHING YOURSELF.
