Dr. Shinn is a great professor. I cant recommend him enough. Macroeconomics isn't the most interesting subject, but he is VERY passionate about this subject. I bought a book, but didn't need it. As long as you make flash cards over his power points, then you have everything you need for his exams. Also he will drop your lowest exam grade.

I enjoyed this class a lot. It was not super difficult, and I put in minimal work outside of class. His lectures are amazing. I never thought I would enjoy an Econ class, but he definitely is a character. You won't regret taking him.

Mr. Shinn is an okay professor at best. The class I took was Macroeconomics and it's a class on Tuesdays and Thursdays. So on Tuesdays he would be on the campus that I'm attending and on Thursdays he would be at another campus and he would video chat with us. The video chatting part was a bit sketchy but u could still see everything he was teaching

He's funny! He makes class enjoyable & always asks if you have questions. Test are pretty straight forward with a few trick questions. He wants to make sure everyone understands the material.

Great instructor who is enthusiastic about economics and makes it interesting. There was not a single lecture in which he didn't get a snicker from someone in class. He's a bit of a character.

Shinn is awesome. He can be a bit scatter brained, but overall, he's super helpful. You don't have to attend his class, but it's definitely helpful, and he curves your grade if you aren't absent. Make sure you do the homework, because he gives you a whole point tacked on to your final grade for each homework assignment. Overall he's awesome!

Outstanding professor. Has a short attention span but that ends up making him fun. He is brilliant, so much to the point he can make problems out of thin air. Best part about his class is he tries to use current events to help people understand the concepts of Business Finance, like current stock prices. He is a must take.

Dr. Shinn is awesome! He's probably my favorite professor so far. He takes a boring old economics class and turns it into something enjoyable. His tests are harder than you would think, but all it takes is paying attention in class and looking over your notes for a few minutes to make a good grade.

Dr Shinn pours everthing he has got into this class. If you come to class, study notes, do homework(3x a semester), you will do very well. He takes a could be boring class and makes it enjoyable. Great Professor. I hope to have him again.

Great professor. Short attention span, very witty. Grades on the curve which is good because his tests are tricky. No cumulative final. Very interactive with class.

Very interesting. Great personality. He will keep on till you understand. MC questions are hard and confusing. I would take him for another class if he was an option. Cares for his students and wants to help when there is a need. One day in class he polled the class on why we don't do well at times. He actually took notes. He cares, unlike some.

I really like Dr. Shinn. He is funny. He does get off tract sometimes, but who doesn't. He will admit that he doesn't know everything about this subject, but he know enough to teach it. He is willing to work with you and help you whenever. He took a day of his Spring break to meet with the students that needed additional help.

He's very funny, sometimes random, sometimes unfocused, but you actually learn a surprising amount. Tests are kind of difficult, but if you understand the gist of the material, you'll pass for sure. And he makes it easy to understand most of the time (if not, he doesn't mind answering questions, even if they take a while). Decent teacher.

He is an intersting man. but he needs to focus more on one material at a time instead of being all over the map. this class is extremely difficult and his test are outrages. his multiple choice is very tricky and he has lots of problems to work out. He lets u use a cheat sheet and we would all study hard and still could barely make a B.

MSC needs to hire another business finance professor. He is very hard to understand, and tests are very difficult. Hardest business class at MSC.

The hardest class at Macon State... next to Business Statistics. Very confusing... the study guide that can be bought at the bookstore was a MAJOR help. I barely passed!
