Easily the best instructor I've had at this university. She's very amenable to giving you good feedback when you ask for it, most of the classwork is done *in-class*. If you have a good command of the English language you will have little trouble at all. Can be sarcastic, but she's a great instructor. I wish she taught more of my classes.

Comment:

Probably one of the less stressful engineering courses you'll take at SJSU. Professor Parrish made the class interesting and kept the class engaged. Assignments/writ. assignments in class are based on preparing you for your professional life after college. Put in moderate effort, attend green talks, and you'll do fine. Deadlines somwhat negoitable.

She was great and the easiest class I have taken at SJSU. I admired the way she taught and graded. An easy "A" with some amount of work. David Cramer is probably 250 times harder than her, so if you are a Engr student, do the math. :)

Very easy and laid back professor. Take her for ENGR100W. Grades fairly and work is easy. No need to purchase the textbook as we never used it in class. Probably the best 100W professor at SJSU.

She is extremely patient and helpful.Take CMPE 294 under her only!In summer the class was a little too fast and slightly stressful(3 days a week 6-9).But the class exercises were fun(sometimes time consuming).She is particular about grammar but also answers all doubts very patiently.One of the few pleasant and helpful professors at SJSU.

A great teacher professor! She is strict on grammar so if you are a ESL student, you will need to devote alot of time to this class. She gives alot of feedback on your essays to improve your writing and help you pass the exit exam.

Take 100W with her, this is the easiest professor to take this class with. The labs were easy and take 30min then you can leave. Lecture is boring, so she does it quickly. If you are an ESL student then you might have trouble, and should attend 90w for some help. She is extremely helpful and will go out of her way to help out.

This class was super easy. As stated by the previous reviewer, if you are ESL you might struggle. If you are a native speaker its a breeze. The only hard part of this class was dealing with the foreign students in my group who can't write to save their lives. I think Parrish gets frustrated with these guys and thats why she has neg ratings.

She is the best 100W teacher you could have. She is easy and very doesnt want to waste your time. She does grade hard if your ARE ESL!!!! I am certain that these "bad" ratings are from ESL people. If you write, read and speak English then you can get an EASY A in her class. IF YOU ARE ESL STAY AWAY INSTEAD OF BRING HER RATING DOWN.

took a course from this professor.she is good but dont expect a good grade.she reads out whatever you write in assignments in front of entire class.it often embarrassed me.somehow passed the course but many students ended up in a C or loser grades.

She talks too loud. The students taking 90W need help with their writing and are somewhat embarrassed to have their papers read. But she reads your papers out loud so pretty much everyone can hear it and points out mistakes in embarrassing way. And she's a drama queen.
