Ginny is fantastic! She makes the classes interesting and engaging, very often incorporating relevant new information, studies and data. She does require quite a bit of reading, but it is all outside the class, in the class she does not use powerpoint or the textbook to guide her class. I have never met someone with so much knowledge and experience

Ginny was my thesis advisor for one main reason: She's relentless in her standards. She was always helpful when I asked for help and she loves teaching. Some students don't like her because she has such high standards, but why be at Simon's Rock if you don't want to get challenged?

Ginny is one of the best professors I've ever had. I'm now in grad school for clinical psychology, and she is the reason. I think she was clear, gave much relevant information above and beyond the reading material, and engaged the class in lively discussions which required critical thinking. She really cares about her students.

Hard professor. She will really push you to the limits of what you can do, but if you go to her she's pretty good about helping if she can. Tests were ridiculous (according to a professional psychologist she didn't take tests like that until grad school) but they were open note. Overall a good class though.

ginny is an acquired taste. once you get acclimated to her mo then you're fine. i suppose that in comparison to anne, ginny can come out as a strict professor, but really, you learn a lot from her as long as your are willing to do your part as the student. and i agree, she's definitely much more suited for those who are dedicated to psychology.

Ginny is a nice person, but she tries to combine the lecture and discussion formats and it just - doesn't - work. She repeats herself frequently and the tests are absolutely absurd. She also isn't in her office during stated office hours.

Strict to the point of being somewhat ridiculous. Very disorganized lectures and tests with questions that come out of left field. Bad habit of saying one thing and meaning another. The class is fun, but not worth the irritation.

Ginny rocks. She's difficult, but its only because she respects her students' ability. She's tons of fun, but don't bother taking her classes if you're not dedicated to psychology and willing to put in the hours of effort.
