Comment:
Take Dr. Kleinsmith's reviews with a grain of salt. Students complain about him because he makes you work for your grade and actually learn the material, rather than memorize it. If you plan on sitting for the CPA exam, Kleinsmith's class will be extremely beneficial in the long run. Plus, he's a lot more approachable than he may initially seem.

Professor K. is your classic tough yet straightforward accounting professor. No doubt, your going to have to work for your grade. His wiley assignments and exams are difficult. However, he is an inspirational, easy to talk to guy. Stay on top of your work, review for exams, and you will easily pass the class and excel.

A girl in my class was crying and he stopped his lecture to address it, she got up and left the class and he continued to talk about her and how she was cracking under the pressure of the difficulty of the course. If I was that girl, Kleinsmith wouldnt have a job by the time I was done with him. Maybe a good working professional, lousy professor.

I took Dr. K for intermediate I and II and he is the best accounting professor there is. The people who give him poor reviews are the ones who don't show up to class and don't study. He makes you work for your grade! I've learned so much from him and his class and feel very prepared to sit for the CPA. Very willing to help you and meet after class.

Brutal teacher, so much work and it takes forever. Moves too fast, to keep up with.

He is an ok teacher. He gives the homework load of 2-3 classes in one class. He must not realize that there are students here whom actually work and have other classes other than his. If you work, and have a few other classes, this class' workload with eat you alive.

He is a very tough teacher. Tests/quizzes/homework are given on, in his words, "What you do not know to get you ready for the CPA exam". This will not help your GPA, or you really. You are trying to test and quiz well on things that you really do not know. I would NOT take him again and would have dropped this class if he wasn't the only 1 offering

This professor expects you to know everything before you take this class. Quizzes and homework are given all in one weekend and you are expected to hand everything in by 11pm on sunday or you get a 0. The tests are always in class and are very hard. He teaches very fast and does not slow down for any students. I would not recommend.

I had Prof. K for Mngl. Acc. All work is done online via WileyPLUS. Before a chapter's lecture you're expected to read the chapter and do an online assignment on it. The second homework assignment is done after the lecture. Each test is on two chapters. Assignments/Tests were easy if you payed attention to lectures. Willing to work around problems.

WARNING! Your grades are based off what you teach yourself, you are expected to read, and learn the material before class, his lecture is kind of a review. Everything you learn will be based off what you teach yourself. When in class he does not answer questions, be-littles students, and curses on a daily. Do your self a favor and dont take him!

This professor is TERRIBLE. He gives homework, quiz, and online test due in one night. He is rude and yells at his students if they do not do well. His final exam was impossible. Never went over tests, terrible "lectures", excel templates never helped, have to remember all formulas for tests. DO NOT TAKE HIM!! SAVE YOUR GPA!!!

Doesn't really answer questions asked.. Fast talker and class is very fast paced which is frustrating for people who needs time to practice to learn.

Great professor. Many people complain because there is a lot to grasp, but Kleinsmith doesn't just hand you the answers. He expects you to learn and knows that the only way you will is by doing the problems. I learned a LOT in this class and I am extremely thankful. Talk to him after hours and he will be there for you.

this is not a hard class if you put in the effort. there are weekly homework and quiz's but they are there to just help you prepare for the exams. the exams are about 3-4 questions are it is only 1 question from each chapter the exam is on. go to class and sit in the front and you won't have any problems. accounting is hard no matter what.

Shocked by some of these comments. Warren is a great professor but he's not going to spoon feed you the work. Connect homeworks are very helpful and are much harder than any test. Tests are time consuming but not impossible. He provides his cell and you can always call him for help. He cares about the students and wants you to pass. take!

Kleinsmith is a knowledgable and nice professor with a quirky sense of humor. It's important to look over notes or the book to fully understand the topics discussed in class. He does speed through lessons, but is willing to explain them or help you after class.

The professor blames students when class averages for exams are lower than 60%, and does not provide clarity. He moves through the lectures very fast, and does not attempt to make sure students understand. He also promises extra credit and doesn't follow through. Do not take this professor if you value your GPA.

This was one of the worst teachers I have ever had and he talks too fast. His tests are IMPOSSIBLE along with the homework. He is there to help but will only give you more work to do which really doesn't help when you don't understand it in the first place. I recommend VERY STRONGLY taking a different teacher because he doesn't know how to teach.

Speaks way too quickly and uses abbreviations in his notes. Get ready to teach yourself from the textbook and try to keep up.
