Currently taking her course online & it is the worst. She expects so much out of you as if I don't have other courses to worry about. Would not recommend online because if you ask her for help on assignments, tests, or book readings, she will only refer you to the book.

It was my first ever online course so I was rather intimidated by online and the subject 'Russian.' No problem at all as I liked the content and the structure. the only wish for professor - to add even more interaction between students. May be video posts? or pictures?

A great online course for summer 'Understanding Russians.' I learned lots of stuff on crazy Russians. It's writing intensive but amount of writing is reasonable. Great online discussions with other students. All quizzes online. Overall quite easy. Highly recommend.

Baldwin is the Russian professor for LBST2101. She requires a lot of reading before class because the clicker questions come from the reading. In all the class was very easy. She speaks with a heavy accent so it can be difficult to understand her sometimes but she is a great professor!

This is my second language at UNCC. But now I applied for a minor in Russian because of this professor. She is a great teacher, patient, and encouraging. She gives so many chances to improve your grade and cares a lot about her students. I will truly miss her as I learned more than just language skills from her. Kudos to YB!

Ms Baldwin is a good teacher. She is very helpful but at times she doesn't seem that organized. As long as you stay on top of your grades and monitor moodle to make sure she input them correctly you will be fine. If she makes a mistake you can show her your graded material and she will fix it.

This class was divided into 4 sections, with 4 different professors. She was the most clear out of all the professors. There's always clicker questions, really no point in going to the class if you don't have a clicker. She's very funny and made class enjoyable.

readings required to be done before each class, the answers to the questions are right in the text and the qustions with the reading are basically what the test is like. Her section is the most clear in the overall class. All I can say is MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A CLICKER, they are used to participation. You are quized every class period on the readings

I don't believe there would be Russian program at UNCC without Baldwin. If you got minor without her classes, you didnt get the taste of that true Russian character and energy. I never thought of Russian but follow her since LBST class. She is a great teacher. Her students win most prestigious awards. I looking forward to her literature class .
