Comment:

I like Dias and think she is a sweet lady, but gosh this class was so boring and I online shopped in class most days. Just do your homework and show up to class every once in a while and you'll get a 100% in the class. The part of the semester where we were online was all bookwork and homework, super easy. Again, if you do your work you'll be fine.

Comment:

Ana Dias is a real gem of a person. She doesn't delight in making her class difficult, but English is not her first language, so some things get lost in translation. She gave extra credit on a day that people skipped and gave A's to everyone when our program stopped working. She knows what she's talking about, she just struggles to articulate it.

How can I explain Ana Dias... I missed 5 of her classes and was not behind at all When the program she uses for labs stopped working she gave us all As for the remaining labs we didn't do She gave us all the answers to the homework she gave us all the questions to the final exam She gave us all extra credit when we showed up to a Friday class Love

Ana is a really kind professor. She has no issues explaining ideas or methods, but she is really easily influenced by student feedback. Even if the opinion is not the most popular, if it is the loudest, she will do it. She knows what she's talking about but is quiet sometimes and does not give a lot of assignments so every point counts.

She is an absolutely awful Professor. I left that class extremely frustrated every day. She is extremely unorganized and has no idea what she is talking about. The class is title "Math for Elementary Teachers", but there is no way I could ever teach this material to elementary students, given the fact that college students didn't even understand it

I have taken many different math classes with her because no other professor was offered for the class. She is always very unorganized and not clear in what she expects. She never seems well prepared for class and it seems like a times she doesn't even know what she is talking about. Don't take a class with her unless absolutely necessary.

Dias is not fit for the classroom. She is almost always unprepared, and never seems to know what she is doing. Sometimes she tries to figure out problems on the board, and that just confuses the class. She teaches an education course, but does not teach you how to teach at all. If I could, I would never take one of her classes again.

I often left this class VERY FRUSTRATED and confused. Assignments took me longer than usual because I have to teach myself the content through sources like Google and my book. She was always unprepared, talked too soft and never had a lesson. She always used handouts for a class that should be hands- on. Her explanations and directions are confusing. I strongly suggest you get another professor.

She speaks so soft, if you don't sit in the front you can't hear her. She was never prepared for class. There are almost never lessons, just handouts. She didn't know how to do a lesson and taught it backwards! Sometimes she speaks in spanish, it was a math class. I have a good grade, but learned nothing! I strongly recommend another teacher.

She's difficult to understand and is never prepared for class. She doesn't explain the material very well, and spends more time fiddling around trying to figure out what she's doing than teaching. She grades the portfolio hard and exams are difficult.

She doesn't always seem prepared for class. The class is all about technology in the classroom and she doesn't seem comfortable with the technology being used. Her instructions are usually very vague at best, but the exams are pretty easy if you go over the examples she provides throughout the semester

Does not grade consistently, used book for first 2 weeks, tests are ridiculous, does not teach HOW to teach, just teaches elementary material all over. spent 45 min teaching how to round a decimal, then 5 min on scientific notation. Tests include material never gone over in class. Wouldn't think it be a stressful class, but she makes it stressful.

She is very scatterbrained. Easy class, but you will have no idea what is going on day to day. The class could have been a lot better.
