I really enjoyed some of the lectures but others weren't as interesting. There are quite a few reading assignments and films to watch outside of class. You don't have to do every single of them (just google the answers for online quizzes) but make sure you do most of them for success on the final and analytic paragraphs. Only one major project!

he doesn't write a lot of content on his slides and when he teaches it hard to keep up when your writing down notes.

I hated everything about this class and the professor. He says the most offensive things and doesn't understand this isn't our only class. He assigns two books/movies a week along with a quiz and an essay every other week along with a major project. He offers a lot of extra credit but the class is boring and he wouldn't give a midterm review.

is lectures were scattered and unhelpful and a lot of the assignments were pointless and had nothing to do with the class. he also talked over the other professor in the other class a lot.

He is by far the worst professor I have ever had. He never let his co professor talk and always interrupted her. His feedback on HW is not helpful and is very rude. Stay away if possible

I took this for my anchor and we had so many assignments that were pointless. He was rude and consistently talked over the other professor or guest lecturers. His lectures were too scattered for me, but that may just be my learning style.

Super passionate about what he teaches and overall a nice guy. He grades a bit tough but he also wants you to learn the material and he is good at explaining it if you care enough

Anch 214 with Bergerson was a good class! He is an awesome professor who always makes sure that everyone knows what is going on. He lectures very well, which makes it easy to stay engaged. There are a lot of reading and film assignments outside of class time, so just be ready for that. Exams aren't too bad if you attend review sessions.

This is not the class to take unless you are a history major. I needed a class to satisfy 2 requirements in order to graduate so I picked this class because it was online. This is a level 200 class but you feel like its a level 400+. Youll need to spend several hours a day studying or reading.... oh and papers every other day. And written exams.

He is amazing, his lectures are awesome, it is not mandatory but skip the classes?! fail!! Bunch of extra credit! Many writing homework, reading and video lectures! If you attend and do everything you will like the class! In the beginning expect low grades than you will see progress!

Dr. Bergerson is an amazing professor who is great at communicating his knowledge of history. I had him for Anchor 214 (Nazi Occupied Europe and the Holocaust), which is a tough class with a ton of reading, but definitely worth it as you will learn stuff about World War II you never knew before. Great guy.

Dr. Bergerson did an awesome job in lecture! His research is fascinating, and you can tell he really knows what he's talking about. I thought that this was great, but he can also be a little rough around the edges and expects students to read A LOT, so as long as you're prepared for his personality and rigorous expectations, you'll be good to go.

I've had Dr. Bergerson for four classes. His classes are very difficult, but extremely rewarding. He's very helpful as long as you put the work in. He pushes you to keep progressing and getting better. Even if you receive an 'A' on a paper, his notes will still tear your paper apart. If you care about learning and about growing, he's a great prof.

It was very clear from day one that Dr. Bergerson is an expert in the subject (Nazi-occupied Europe). His lectures were informative and were about more than just the basic history we were taught in high school. His lectures force you to question your preconceived notions about morality and the Holocaust.

Was obviously unprepared for such a large class size, harshly graded assignments that were supposed to be completion only, assigned a large group project but never gave clear instructions for it, and did not give helpful feedback. Avoid if possible.

He would be a great English writing teacher, but not a history teacher. You spend most of the class on how to WRITE, less than 10% of the time is actually spent on learing history.

An excessive amount of online lectures(averaging 3hrs a week) and reading along with wiki homework. Was extremely overwhelming with the amount of work. Was a very knowledgeable teacher but not the class to take if your a full time student, work, and want a life.

The material in this Nazi Occupation During the Holocaust class is meant for brave mature audiences. Some of it may give you nightmares. Beware of which professor you get because its a cluster course (taught by two professors). I didn't appreciate being asked to change things in a paper then receiving poor marks for doing so.
