He's a tough cracker. I enjoyed his class at the beginning, but then he started to get really strict. I wish he was better at communicating with his students and caring.

To be honest, I dozed off in most of his lectures. I learned more about life in general than the actual content of the class, but that's just me.

Understanding the grammar could be difficult, if you ask questions he really likes it. It shows you are interested and willing to put work into Korean. Sometimes he goes too fast, and you have 3 minutes to do an exercise when you spent 3 minutes trying to figure out what it's saying. Easy A if you are a native speakerpast experience w Korean.

Byon is okay. They teaches the class really fast. I guess they want to cover the whole book. Quiz every Thursday if you don't remember all the words you're tight cause it's all about memorizing! This class takes up a lot of my time and stressed me out a lot, but I guess every language is like this?

Cool guy, but his english isn't the best. 3 major tests that are mostly multiple choice and are open book. Tests can still be difficult, several people I know scored in the 60s/70s but I still would recommend this class

He is one of the professors I highly respect at UA. He definitely wants his students to learn, and from what I heard, he now has open book exams, which sucks, cause I spent many nights cramming. Oh well, at least I got and A-

His class is no longer 'memorization' and he has recently changed both midterms and the final to open book/open note tests. However, if you miss one class, forget it! I ended up taking 3-4 pages of notes each class!! Thankfully he tells you exactly what he will be asking, and what you should take note of during films. Awesome Prof. =)

He's not as easy as everyone says. there's a LOT of information to remember and if you cannot remember korean names, BEWARE. not the most interesting class for me but i guess taught well. there are homework almost everyday, 2 tests and 2 essays.

This professor is rated so well here but I cannot understand why. His class seems easy, but when you see his midterm and final study guides (midterm and final count for 65% of your grade) your gonna wanna crap yourself. I dont think i can ever trust rate my professors again this semester: i had 3 A-'s 1 A and a B+, guess where the B+ is from?

i read rate my professor for this teacher and it said he was so easy. I took it for a gen ed, and my gpa is like a 3.5, and its my worst class. He wants you to know like every person in korean history and they all sound the same. He doesnt curve on his tests, avoid taking this class unless its a last resort. Hes a good teacher tho
