Goes on tangents. Wastes class periods on dumb discussions on creation vs. evolution and discussion his weight and bmi charts. Made us speak about either politics, sex or religion. When i went to ask him if i could speak on something else he was really rude and mean in front of the class. AVOID. i never learned about speech in this class..

Tufano really helps you to think for yourself. He encourages students to participate (in fact its pretty much mandatory). Despite is fairly OBVIOUS conservative agenda, he still lets you have your own opinion. I would not recommend his class to individuals who do not like to do a lot of work and attend class. He is tedious in terms of homework!

Well, Professor Tufano challenges you and really wants you to engage in class discussions. He really knows what he's talking about. Class work is not hard; however, you have to make sure that you follow the guidelines of every assignment: speeches, newspaper articles perse. Take him, he's good and you'll be pleased with what you LEARN in his class.

Comment:

Tufano really provokes you into sharing your opinions in his class. He does not judge you but rather eggs you on to make even more impressive arguments against him. Definitely not an easy class but I am finding it worthwhile. Basically, if you love to talk, don't mind speaking up in a class discussion, and doing your work; this class is for you.

He is extremely helpful and always replies to your emails. Using your logic is important if you want to pass the class. I wouldn't say that this class is easy, but it isn't very difficult either. If you come to class, read from the text book and participate, then you will pass the class. Never use the word "nice" or "sad" in his class!

Tufano is an alright teacher. If you are looking for a class with little work, don't even think about taking him. He gives A LOT of work and wants you to participate in class discussions. He tries to make the class engaging, but his strategies to drawn students out can actually put them off sometimes.

Tufano Rocks! He challenges everyone and knows what buttons to push and steps back to see how you'll respond, but will help improve comm skills. Know how to speak for yourself and you'll do great. He leads class discussions which is awesome in order to bring the book material alive. He doesn't like wasting time and he really knows his stuff.

Ladies and gentleman, If you want a class thats laid back I DONT RECOMMEND this teacher! He is challenging and some what unfair on quizzes. I swear I wrote down exactly whats right and he wants to give people like me a 97%. If your major has nothing to do with this, just take an easier teacher.

The class is pretty easy, all you do is read chapters and discuss in groups and with the class, all quarter. Plus you write a response to each chapter. The problem starts when you realize how concided he is, and the way he puts your opinion down if he doesn't agree, thinks he knows everything, constantly showing off his 'knowledge'

Although this teacher is very easy it is difficult to stomach his constant berating of others and his never ending bouts of self-aggrandizement. He frequently taunted the other members of his department and said that they were all buffoons. If you can fit in the room with his ego go ahead and take his class.

He really wants his class to stretch. I didn't find the class difficult. I enjoyed it, though, because there was much more interaction as a group than I expected in a 100 level class. I highly recommend him if you are willing to participate.

Conservative agenda not withstanding, professor Tufano is an excellent instructor that challenges his students and expects nothing less than the best from them.
