Professor Pabst is very passionate about the study of marine mammals. This passion is evident in every one of her lectures and she genuinely wants to share her experience and knowledge with her students. You are required to know the genius and species of a ton of animals which is hard but its definitely doable! Such a nice lady

Dr. Pabst is one of my favorite professors that I have had. She tells you everything that you need to know to pass the test. This does not mean you don't need to study, because you do. She is very flexible and very helpful outside of class. When exams are close, she takes time to schedule a review session if you want to attend.

I loved BIO 358. Pabst is very clear and gives you everything you need to succeed. Some of the information is a little tough, but she does review sessions before every exam (and passes out candy the day of). I actually wanted to sit in the lecture. However, if you do miss, you really need to get notes. A lot happens every lecture.

Dr. Pabst is the best professor I have ever taken! Mainly your grade is just tests, but theres 2 class assignments that were so easy. The tests weren't hard at all, she makes the class so interesting and easy to follow along! PLEASE take this class with her you won't regret it!

Dr. Pabst is amazing!! I loved her class. Her lectures are very informative and she is completely passionate about marine mammals. She gives a lot of handout because there is no assigned textbook and must attend lecture to completely fill out the handouts. She passes out candy during exams and her exams aren't too hard.

I took 358 as an elective for my Bio major. I wasn't expecting to enjoy this class... oh how wrong I was. Dr. Pabst is by far my most favorite professor here at UNCW. She is kind and very passionate about her work. Her lectures are engaging and moving. Exams are fair and not too difficult. Print her handouts out and pay attention in lecture!

Dr. Pabst is the best professor at UNCW. She gives actual feedback and encourages you to do your best. She is very picky on her short-answer exams, you have to be very specific in your answers. However, this lady is amazing and I recommend that every bio major takes BIO 315 with Pabst. Best professor.

My favorite professor/class ever! made the material interesting and used various methods of teaching (coloring, dissections, models, skeletons, overhead, open after hours lab) These all made the material really stick. Loved her class so much I went home telling my friends what I learned today! Be ready to give this class some time/studying though.

This is the only large lecture class I have enjoyed and it is all thanks to Pabst. She's always in a good mood and excited about sharing information on the topic she loves. Though beware the amount of trees you'll kill by printing out notes for class. It's a lot of information, but it's really interesting stuff and she presents it in a fun way.

Dr. Pabst is far & away my favorite professor I've had during my college career. She is so passionate about what she's teaching & she does everything in her power to help you succeed but she certainly isn't going to hand you an A. Her lectures are interesting however, it is a lot of information & her exams are difficult. Record the lectures!

One of the hardest classes I've ever taken and I've survived both semesters of Orgo, this class is NOT an easy A unless you have a photographic memory. MEMORIZE all the terms. Tests are short answer, no multiple choice. She's a nice person but hard grader. Labs last the WHOLE time.

Amazing professor who is very interested in marine mammals. She remembers your names and you feel a personal connection to her. I got an A on the first test and tried as hard as I could to maintain that on future tests so I wouldn't disappoint her. If you know the material, the tests are easy. It's very easy to eliminate 2 or 3 of the 5 choices.

I could of cried when this class was over. Dr. Pabst should be a legend, I have never wanted to get an A in a class so badly because I felt that it would be a disservice to her because of how much effort she puts into the class. It is challenging but you will learn so much and she will go over anything again if you dont understand.LOVED this class

I am actually, genuinely sad that this class is over. She is to marine mammals as Dr. Lankford is to fish. You will definitely have to study (a lot) and her tests are hard, but I can honestly say I've learned more in this class than I have in most of my other classes. Take it.

Just had the last lecture, and I'm sad this class is over! The best class I've taken here at UNCW, and she is the best professor. You would have to spend lots of time studying for this class, but she is very helpful and good at making things very interesting. Know the slides and you will do good!

I loved Dr. Pabst. But her class was very very hard. Be ware. Tests have the annoying answers choices previously mentioned. (a,b,etc, a and b, all, none) This really tripped me up. You have to know the material and even then is was difficult. But in terms of the teacher she was an amazing women.
