She is uncooperative with communicating - to the point where she's ignoring attempts to schedule an in person meeting. She's condescending in ALL methods of communication in the rare occurrences she actually is reachable. Overall Unacceptable performance from an educator.

Comment:

Rude and very unprofessional. Will chastise you for making syntax errors. Has no patience whatsoever. Tries to be funny but usually just comes off as juvenile and offensive. If you enjoy programming you will still enjoy the classwork, but you will hate going to class. Good for nothing in terms of extra help after class (go see a TA instead).

Excellent prof. Yes, she's often sarcastic, but she really makes an effort to help you understand the material, and gives thorough explanations. I think people dislike her because she gets frustrated- and shows it- when people don't get it. Or say stupid things in class. She can be intimidating, but if you've got a brain, Anne rocks.

Very rude and belittling. Okay teacher and isn't too difficult to understand. Seems like she doesn't like to answer anybody's questions. If you're having difficulty, you will feel much better about yourself going to a T.A. instead. Her sarcasm is not funny, but rude. People who have trouble with English do not fare well with her.

I hated this teacher. The class was quite hard, and she was quite unhelpful. I felt like she was mad at me whenever I asked a question. Her lectures are annoying and she should let you spend time ACTUALLY ON a computer to learn.

She says that the class is fast-paced, but I didn't feel it. She made it so much fun that I'm probably going to become a computer science major. Some of the designs took a lot of time to write, but they were worth the effort in the end. I was always excited to get my projects started and finished.

Those who miss Anne's sense of humor are not worthy of her wit. Those who criticize Anne for the faults of a curriculum which she did not write are not worthy to post opinions the world must suffer to read. Anne is one of the few truly bright, enthusiastic and fun professors I have had the pleasure to meet. Blah to the philistines; Huzzah for Anne!

Absolutely awful and extremely rude. Every question is answered with a rude and sarcastic comment without helping. The class is very disorgnized and no one ever has any idea what is going on. Already wasn't excited about the class, but she makes it miserable.

She teaches this class very well and keeps interest up with her funny and corky style of teaching. She's really helpful and welcomes questions. This is my first exposure to computer programming and I'm glad I'm learning it from her.
