Dr. Poli is a wonderful teacher, accounting in general can be tough for some but she makes it very understandable. She is a very nice person, and I would definitely take again.

Comment:

I took advanced accounting with her. Lots of assignments including memo papers, 2 debates, a presentation, midterm, final, homework & participation, and 3 group projects. Very heavy work load. However, I like her enthusiasm for accounting and that she's willing to help her students. Test are very similar to HW problems.

Dr. Poli is an awesome professor! Very caring, knowledgeable, and very enthusiastic. Many homework assignments throughout the semester, but they will help you prepare for the test. Dr. Poli is awesome!!!!

Dr. Poli is always willing to help you when you ask for it. She makes the class fun and is, in general, a funny person. The tests are pretty and you only have one project, but that is the final. Overall, I would say take the class.

she is awesome. she is always hopped up on coffee and is super energetic. she is fun to joke with but is also a good teacher. she gives out fair homework and that's what the tests are based off of. i highly recommend her and i think she is an awesome teacher

She is a very energetic person. She makes the class (accounting which is a very bland subject) somewhat enjoyable. She makes crosswords and makes getting the right answer seem like a game rather than a task. Her only weakness is that her availability is limited. Her office hours are right before class. Her homework is easy and short though. TAKE

If you want a good grade, don't take. If you want to learn accounting, don't take. If you want to be treated like you matter, don't take. If you don't like favoritism, don't take.Even though she will tell you she's a CPA every class to try to lull you into believing she is an authority on accounting, don't buy into the hype. Shouldn't be teaching.

DO NOT take Poli. She is the worst professor I have ever experienced. She DOES NOT teach or know how to explain anything. She is not helpful AT ALL,and doesn't care if you're having trouble. She assigns impossible homework without teaching the chapter. Her tests are complicated and usually on problems we hardly went over. Don't take her.

She was a great teacher and as long as you did your homework, paid attention in class, and put in a bit of effort you should get a decent grade. She is very knowledgeable in Accounting especially considering she is a CPA. Also, her classes are interesting with her splitting up class time into different activities. Take her 2 learn the material.

There;s a lot to like about Poli: she is a horrible teacher, she gives unfair tests, and plays favorites. She doesn't care how you do, she just cares about telling the class that she's a CPA every chance she gets. Do not advise taking her as introductory class. She goes at a ridiculous pace just to get everything she wants in.

LOVED HER! At first you won't like her teaching methods but she grows on you and by the end of the semester you love her and wish she was teaching you next semester. She makes class fun and wants you to do well in her class. Participate alot and show her you care and she will drop your lowest grades!

I liked Prf. Poli. She makes class interesting and even fun. She's got a sunny personality and does try to teach the material with in-class exercises as addition to lecturing. She's obviously very knowledgable on her subject.

My classes' experience was unlike any other. Started the semester hating her and no one could stand the class. By the end of the semester she absolutely loved us and the class was a breeze. I messed up every exam and she was always helpful and gave me a second chance. If you want to take IL 101 you have to take her, tough luck.

This class required alot of work and extra time outside of class. Many students that I know complained that it was too much work...and it was. However, if you study the book and do the assignments you'll learn alot. She doesn't explain things very well, but comes up with alot of in class assignments that are fun and innovative.

Poli, as I've heard, is a great accounting teacher. However, due to this university's complete disregard for the Int'l Studies program, she has been forced to teach this class. She is somewhat incompetent in this field and clueless during class. Asking her questions can be comical. She's nice, but this is NOT her field of study. Stay away!!!!!
