This class was awesome. It was so great that I made sure to take another class with this professor. She has a passion for history, which shows greatly in her teaching style. At first this class is quite a bit to keep up with. She has quite a few essays, and the exams are easy. Text book use is a MUST! Paying attention is required to pass!

I absolutely loved this professor's teaching style. It was difficult to keep up with, but completely worth it. She kept the information interesting and her tests were easy. She is very easy to understand and has a passion for history. You definitely will need her books because that's what the tests are on. She is also very understanding .

She's very nice and helpful. The only thing I don't like is too much reading. 1 term paper, midterm, final, couple of papers, and few short quizzes. It's hard and not just only reading from the book but you have to print the reading the copy she has on mycouses. Too much reading and not for slackers

Absolutely boring. Large readings followed by quizzes asking the most random questions that catch you off guard, i put in maximum effort, and have straight A's in other classes but her awful grading made this the only class i had a problem with. Dont recommend her

Very Easy class, she's super nice. Attendance is mandatory. Just do the reading and participate. 2 papers, a midterm and a take home final and thats it. A lot of in class group work which can be annoying but overall I would take her again.

She is a really nice woman. Helpful and understanding. Assigns tons of reading, and by tons, I mean tons, and usually gives assignments on it. Almost all of the readings are lengthy and boring. She is really interesting to listen to. Overall, I would take her again.

She is not as bad as people say. As long as you skim through the readings before class you'll be fine. There are only two essay tests and as long as you look through the text book before the test and make notes so you know it for the essay you'll be fine. She is nice and the class is easier than these people say.

Obvious feminist. Rough grader. A ton of reading on topics the professor fails to make you interested in. Note again: TONS OF READING. Overall, a real timesink for nothing. Avoid at all costs, there are much better professors in the HST department but they fill up quick unlike her classes. Hah.

DO NOT TAKE HER!! worst teacher i have had so far. all she does is sit on her chair and talks from her notes. the classes seem like they go on for hours. she either like you or she doesnt,if she doesnt like you youll prob get a D, had around the same answers as a friend on an essay, she got a 95 i got a 60 and what we were saying was the same

A lot of effort is needed, especially when studying for quizes and doing assigments. Lots of reading and the class can be very boring at times. All you talk about is slavery and feminism. She isn't bad herself but the class is very confusing and jumbled up.
