I took this class online, it was easy only 1 midterm, 1 final paper, no exams. No book was required. Watch movies every week and write a paper on them, same thing for midterm and final. However, she wasn't very clear all the time of how she expects the assignments to be written out. You constantly need to email her about what she wants.

The class was easy and I did get a lot of information from the readings. You won't know where you stand in the class because she doesn't keep up with the grading. I relieved an A- in the class and I believe that's because I turned in a late assignment and missed some points on an assignment. Keep up with the assignments and you will pass the class.

I loved this class. No textbook needed. Everything is put onto blackboard have weekly assignments. All discussions are based off of movies. 1 midterm essay & 1 final essay which are not difficult. Class actually beneficial to anyone who takes it & it is an easy A.

Very unorganized, due dates are not clear. Takes too long to grade so you can;t fix your mistakes on future assignments. Awful teacher, would not reccomend her for anything.

Dr. Mathews is an interesting teacher. She is extremely smart, but leaves grading towards the end. She will make it seem as if YOU are on the right track...but at the end your grade reflects something else! Confusing! Grading: You MUST GO to class, PARTICIPATION is a MUST, plus the mid-term essay and final essay. It?s not as easy as it sounds!

This class was interesting, but very careful with her class because she waits till the last mintue to grade papers and on top of that, she makes a lot of mistake on grading the papers. she tends to misplace the papers, and another assignments that she misses class quite a few times and will change the syllabus at the last minute. She seems confused

Fun class, you need to have some background before taking it though. Guest lecturers and online questions are okay. Very understanding and helpful.

Dr. Mathews is an incredibly intelligent and experienced professional, however, she often appears unprepared for class and relies too much on group work when we would be better off learning directly from her and her experiences.
