You can't ask for a better instructor than Dr. Payne. He cares about his students and will help you outside of class as much as you need it. Expect a lot of homework, but it's easy since he gives as much help as is needed. You'll want to come to class too because he makes economics so interesting and relevant to current events. Take Dr. Payne!

Comment:

My all time favorite teacher ever! He is kind and is willing to help you no matter the circumstance. I will say that his tests are quite difficult but he makes very in depth study guides and gives tons of bonus points. So if you study hard and do the bonus work you'll come out with an A. He loves his job and you can tell he is very intelligent.

TAKE THIS TEACHER!!! Amazing teacher. He is so funny, intelligent, inspirational, helpful, and kind! The best college teacher I have ever had. I wish I could take his class again. Great experience with Dr. Payne! I respect this man so much.

This teacher is amazing! Seriously,he gives you all the information that you need to pass the class, you just have to be willing to study and listen. His lectures are clear and actually interesting. He completely prepares you for the tests and even though the tests are hard it's because of the material, not him. Took him for macro and now for micro

I had Mr. Payne for Eco231 7 years ago and passed with close to a perfect grade. He was inspirational and funny and really made the material understandable. Seven years later, I returned to school and took Eco232 online with a different teacher. I was feeling a little list and reached out to Mr. Payne. He made himself available to help me study.

Comment:

I took Dr. Payne for four separate classes; Macro and Micro, and Stats 1+2. I have to say Dr. Payne inspired me to be a better student and furthered my interest in academia. If you are looking for a chance to use your mind, and learn from a proven, dedicated individual, I would definitely recommend taking him. Don't expect to be handed a grade.

I thought Dr. Payne was great! The material was pretty tough, but that's not his fault. Dr. Payne was always willing to answer any questions and made it his priority to help people understand! Everyone who is saying he is "the worst professor ever" and is "way too hard" is in for a rude awakening when they attend a 4 year school, IMO.

He is unique in a way that he expects students to be able to read, undertand, and complete all works. He asks all the time if everyone understands, if you do not he will try and explain again. He helps after class if need be. Reserved reading helps in all ways save your grade. Took him for 231 now in 232 hopefully take for 271,& 272.

I have Mr. Payne for Micro right now...He gives notes online and homework aka "quizzes" online. Reading the chapters before class would be helpful, since it is very confusing. He is an okay teacher; yes the reserved readings are a pain in the butt, but save you on some tests. Overall, he's okay,but I wish I chose someone else.
