Comment:

Cons: A lot of reading with weekly 3-page papers. large semester-long project. Her PowerPoint slides had WAYYY too much writing. Very well-educated BUT hard to keep up with at times because of it. Pros: VERY understanding and kind. Very knowledgeable and knows what she is talking about. Class is very insightful.

Comment:

This class was great. I learned so much about conflict resolution. Lecture was helpful and clear. Class activities and skill practices were essential to learning and understanding the material. The journal can be a lot of work with constant reflection, reading, and writing. Stay on top of it - it's easy to fall behind. Overall - take this class!

Dr. Manes is quite honestly one of my heros. Her passion and dedication to what she does is seldom found elsewhere, and she is a truly phenominal professor. She will make you work hard, but it is because she wants you to succeed. I would give her the highest remarks, and hope you take her class.

She is the type of professor that makes you want to learn and want to come to class. You can tell she is passionate about what she teaches but also how much she cares about her students. She goes above and beyond! If only wcsu can clone her!

Dr. Manes is by far one of my favorite professors at WCSU. She is professional and wants her students to learn from her class and really wants to help. She gives credit where credit is due. Would definitely take her again. Very fair, doesnt pick favorites, open minded, really great person, well respected by her students!

Probably the best mind I have ever encountered in academia. She's brilliant, personable, and has a beautiful soul. We were on opposite ends of the political spectrum, but she was more than fair if you defended your stance with logic & reason. On a personal note, she is as gorgeous as she is brilliant. I miss her a lot these days.

Dr. Manes is intelligent, funny and is beautiful both inside and out. The skills and knowledge you gain from taking a class with her are both impressive and breath-taking. She makes you work for your grade and allows students to improve where they are lacking. Last, I have taking four different classes with her and have never taken a test/exam!

Fundamentals of Conflict resolution Long story short she mesmerized 28 students names in 10 minutes she has the sharpest eye for non verbals I've ever encountered every human being needs this class skills where directly useful minutes after learning them. classes are packed to the brim with activity and snacks. critical thinking required.

Best professor and advisor ever!!!! Caring, helpful and you actually learn things in her class!!!! If you want to take an interesting class that you can utilize in life and be helpful in ANY career path then take ANY class she teaches! Best professor ever! She is more than a professor she is a teacher,mentor and truly loves to help her students succeed in her class and in life. Her classes are fantastic and interesting. I was worried prior to take a class with Dr. Manes because I heard she was very difficult. Once attending the first class my worries about her had subsided. She is extremely helpful and wants you to succeed. If you got a low grade on an assignment she does give you a chance to re-do for a high grade. So nice! Def take her

One of the best professors I've had. Extremely fair and lets her students vote how they want her to run her class. Requires community service but almost anything you do she accepts it. Got an A in the class. Reading was light and papers were easy to relate. Wonderful Professor.
