Jones is the perfect choice if you have to take MTH111. He does assign a lot of homework but gives a lot of feedback. Show up to class if you want to learn. He is a nice guy and caring. Gives a lot of examples to help students understand. I really enjoyed taking his class.

Professor Jones is an amazing teacher. His experience has led him to a level of communication of the fundamentals and concepts of precalc, and trig in particular, that made it easy to understand. I wish he taught more classes!

I had to take this class as a prerequisite for 2 business courses. Anyways, he's a really good professor and knows the material quite well (He's been teaching math longer than I've been alive). He does go through the material rather quickly, but he is almost always available for extra help. He encourages going to the learning center a lot also.

He does not write on the board and you do not need a notebook for notes because he hands out packets every week and uses a projector. Pay attention in class and depending on how you are with algebra will declare the easiness for you. After each reviewed chapter there is a quiz and after 3 chapters there is a test covering those 3 chapters.

Excellent professor! he takes great interest in making sure students understand material. He Gives practice exams and quizzes almost identical to exam. Only downside is the amount of homework given weekly. If you are not a math person, take this course with him. He will help you overcome your fear of math and better your skills.

I am not really a math guy. I scraped by in Algebra pre-reqs with a lot of hard work. If I could have avoided this class, I would have, but if it's mandatory for you like it was for me, TAKE IT FROM HIM. He used to be a high school teacher, so he's old school. He's very knowledgeable. The class was still hard, but he's the best professor.

barry jones is the best math teacher i have ever had in my entire life.. i didnt like math that much in high school however i dont mind it at all now and have learned more from him in 12 weeks than i did in my 4 years of high school.. i wanna say thank you to him and i hope he sees this.

Best math professor ever. Real life examples, grades fast. "Practice" quizzes/test EXACTLY like the real ones, with different numbers. HW is odd numbers and answers can be found in the back of the book. He wants you to succeed and this guy could teach calculus to extinct dinosaurs.

Great professor. He uses examples from everyday life to show you how a problem works and how important math really is. As long as you go to his classes and pay attention, there is no reason for you to get a bad grade. There is a good amount of work in the beginning but he wants to make sure you understand and reviews the material before the exams.

BEST MATH TEACHER EVER. I hate math & never understood it, always received a c or worse in every math i have taken since 8th grade. Mr. Jones made math easy & Fun to learn. Anyone that has the opportunity to take a class with him, DO IT, u will not regret it at all.
