Comment:
Dr. Miller has one of the best senses of humor, it is super dry and sarcastic. As for the class, as long as you take good notes, you will do fine in his 101. Just know that his weekly quizzes are designed to trick you.

Its tough to take notes for the lectures (he likes to just draw and talk biochem, and hes no artist). He loves minutiae so pay attention to diagrams in particular. Hes not a big idea person and that makes it tough to study. Good opportunities for extra credit and he curves grades...I hated it at the time but if you stick it out youll be fine.

If you're taking Bio 101, do not take it with Miller. His lectures are very complicated and he does not try to make them easy to understand. Tests are almost impossible to study for.

Dr. Miller is a very smart man. The research he does is amazing. However his 202 class was very very difficult. Anything he says in class is fair game for the test. I studied at least 20 hours for each exam, and got mediocre results. Study in groups and make sure you do well in lab to boost your overall grade percent.

Comment:
Miller delivers great lectures. He's a brilliant guy and can answer any question you can think of regarding the material. His voice can put you to sleep, but his dry humor more than makes up for it. Quizzes and book exams are pretty simple, but lecture exams require a lot of studying to get more than a C

Would not recommend anyone to take him. His tests are a toss up: some very easy and some on material never covered. Powerpoints are useless. Only way I passed this class was because bio tutoring and lab. Take anyone else if you care about your gpa.

Dr. Miller will not dumb his lectures down, so if you do not have a strong biology background, take his upper level classes later (jr/sr year). He is very helpful if you see him outside of class, but if you don't come to him don't expect him to make sure you are keeping up with material. He is absolutely brilliant--pick his brain and be amazed.

Dr. Miller is great! His lectures are hilarious . . . if you have a dry enough sense of humor. I really enjoyed how he incorporates a little bit of science history into his lectures. I've heard his Watson and Crick story multiple times, and always like listening to it.

Dr. Miller's lectures while monotonous are very well crafted, humorous and clear, if he doesn’t explain it well he is open to questions. He is probably one of the most intelligent people on campus. His tests aren’t easy- but then again neither is his specialty. Don’t expect an easy ride.

Miller completely sucks ass. Most boring, dry, unorganized professor I have ever had. He is able to turn everything into living hell, even a field of daisies on a sunny day. I dont know how the hell antone on earth can put up with this man. Despite his boringness, his class is not that hard to post a decent grade, as long suck it up.

This man goes a 100 mph during lecture and regardless of how interesting the subject is he can make you fall asleep with his monotone voice.
