Most boring teacher ever. He was funny, but the class was boring. He would say everything that was on the test was in the notes from his lecture.....READ THE BOOK!!! A lot of what was on the test was in the book!!!

I honestly thought he was an amazing teacher! I originally wanted to be unknown to scoot by but he learned my name once and called on me often but it made the learning experience so much better! His notes are exactly what to study I suggest note cards and do the extra credit!

You do have to do the work, but as long as you take good notes, do the extra credit and complete lab reports which aren't difficult. Dr. Bennett just makes sure you are serious about your career.

I would recommend BB if you are willing to come to class and do the work. There are a lot of assignments but they help you learn the material. Tests are meant to be challenging so he scales. Very dry sense of humor but very funny if you pay attention.

PROF.BENNETT WAS A GREAT PROFESSOR. I TOOK PHYSZ. WITH HIM.THE CLASS IS HARD BUT WHAT BIOL. CLASS ISN'T? IF YOU ATTEND CLASS EVERY DAY AND SHOW EFFORT TO THE PROFESSOR, HE WILL TAKE IT INTO CONSIDERATION. I ENJOYED HIS LABS ALOT! GREAT CLASS.

Comment:

Bruce Bennett is an excellent professor. His style of teaching makes physiology easier than normal, but by no means is this course easy. The tests are difficult and are rigged with questions that are nearly impossible to answer. But the final grade is helped by your lab average which is easy enought to get around 95 if you do the work.

I think that Dr. Bruce Bennett is the bomb. He may have tenure and has worked very hard to be the best teacher he can be for all students. He is dedicated and only wants the best out of his students to succeed. If you put 100% into his class he will give 100% back.Does have a dry sense of humor and is sarcastic but a good man so don't knock him.

If you go to class and do all of the labs and physio-ex assignments you should do well. Make sure to speak up and volunteer to read things so he knows your name. I loved him! There was 1 lab test in the beginning and the rest was considered hw, but all of that added up to a test grade (thats why i said do all labs & physio-ex)

Great professor! Very caring and helpful. Makes the subject very interesting with his sense of humor. You really have to study so hard. This class is extremly chalanging. If you study hard, you will do well in his class.

This class has been incredibly challenging. Dr Bennett is no joke (even though he likes to tell them). You have to totally dedicate yourself in order to pass. I ended up with an A, but that's b/c I made physiology a HUGE priority. I forced myself to study to the point of nausea, but well worth it. I learned a lot!

Mr. bennett isnt only a good teacher, he also keeps you interested by his sense of humor. the notes are hard to keep up with so make sure to either record his lectures or go over the notes with another classmate. You have to study pretty much every night to keep up on the info. I would reccomand Dr. Bennett to anyone that has to take Physiology.

I took Professor Bennett in the summer. He was one of the best teachers so far. He wants to see his students pass, and is always there to help, and to anwser any questions that you have.BEST!!!

Dr. Bennett is an a rare breed in CCRI. He is a brilliant physiologist and challenges each student to practically apply knowledge as opposed to the traditional memorize, regurgitate, repeat method. By far the most enjoyable and challenging course yet. Highly recommended to those who truly want to learn physiology.

Exams; Bruce has administered thousands of exams. He knows where students get into trouble. Exams are wordy, tricky. His objective is not to test your knowledge of phys, but to keep you under his control by always keeping you on the fence of bordering a "B" final average. In the end, he wants the power to let you escape his class with a B or not.

Don't ever think that for one minute, YOU control your final grade, no matter how much you study. Bruce decides your grade and he does it quite slickly. If you laugh at ALL of his jokes and innuendos, don't ask questions, and brown nose a bit you will be better off then if you try to do it on your own. If you take his class you are at his mercy..

he has heard every question in his 100 years of teaching, yet he acts surprised and annoyed, but it's all part of his head games. Very early on he will set the tone that when you ask a question you shall pay for it by way of humillation and embarrasment. He's hoping that this innitial example will discourage any future questions. And it does!...
