Initially super interested in the subject but this professor made me dread this class, lectures are boring and irrelevant, nothing he talks about in them is needed for any of the assignments. Everything is out of the book. Makes students feel dumb in front of everyone, super disappointing way to spend hard earned college money...

Attendance for lectures are graded, he takes attendance before every class period. His lectures are just him talking and hand writing on the white board. He gives extra credit for tests but only for those who got a D or F which is why I gave him a lower score. I don't think its fair to cater to the students who don't study but could just be me.

I thoroughly enjoy a class that digs deeper into the subject. Bruce made the class relevant to American culture, as well as taught us through the examples of the past. The dude makes for an incredible conversation, his class gave me a new perspective of people and that how we are raised / the culture that surrounds us, effects who we are. Loved it!

Bruce is a great professor, who makes lectures funny and interesting. You definitely need to show up to class and put in a good amount of studying time to prepare for tests. If you do that, you're basically guaranteed to do well in his class. I would definitely take his class again.

He comes off funny at first, but he's actually a condescending a** who will make you feel dumb for not knowing something or not giving the right answer. Asks trick questions a lot, and I ended up not even wanting to participate in class. If you want to do well, read actively and know the material. Does give study guides and extra credit though.

His tests are straight from the study guide and super easy if you do it. The essays were more difficult and he seems to grade hard on those in my opinion. The lectures can be boring since they are so long but you get points for going.

the text is all you'll need to get an A in this class, he gives out study guides that are the same as the test, the essay's are a bit more difficult but I found easy and brings the lesson home. the class discussions are fun and this dude really knows his subject. I never took any notes, everything needed is in the TEXT! he carries an awesome convo

Fairly easy class. Coming to class definitely helps but I don't think its really necessary if you do all the assigned reading. The tests and essays are clear and easy as long as you study. He lets you know what your gonna be tested which is nice. One note to add, he has pretty bad handwriting and doesn't repeat much unless you ask. so pay attention

Bruce is a dynamic instructor because he is brilliant, first, and second, he is very personable and very down-to-earth. He makes Cultural Anthropology super fun and interesting. That's what everyone wants; a cool instructor who presents the material in a way that is easily absorb, right? Bruce is the "real-deal". You will get an "A" if you try.

I had to drop the class due to scheduling conflicts but I couldn't stand that first week of class. He is incredibly boring, slow, and made a subject I was passionate about (Native American Studies) dull and redundant. It was an insult to my heritage.

Bruce is very cool. Definitely an easy yet educational class. Grades are based on attendance and 5 multiple choice tests from book. Tests have a study guide with every question which you have the weekend to study for. Lectures deal with clarifying subject matter and about 30-50% of test is covered in lectures if you listen! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Bruce is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about his subject. This is a true anthropologist! There are not many teachers left that are this well-educated and interested in their topic. Classes are a joy to attend, full of information and supplemented with wry humor. Never boring, couldn't ask more from a class!

Easy A and an easy teacher when it comes to testing. All I had to do was do the study guide the night before an exam and I was good. His lectures on the other hand were boring and pointless, and not one question on the test was based on it. I would have never sat through that class if it wasn't for the attendence points.

He is a hater, but thats why I like him! He does seem to drop alot of sexual innuendos, but I thought it was funny. To get a good grade, you have to study...ALOT. The multiple choice questions are difficult at times because there is more than one possible answer ALWAYS! But again, how many teachers would let you make up an exam if you did poorly

He's definitely knowledgeable in the subject. I wouldn't say respecting other people's views is one of his strong points. The tests were straight from the book. I didn't feel like he applied himself as a teacher. Good teacher if you want to be able to skip class.

Bruce rocks! Like the song say's, He's an old hippie... He is very knowledgeable, and interesting and really gets you thinking. He teaches what he will test you on, gives you study topics that will be covered on the test, and will let you have extra credit if you get below a C. Attend class, study the sheet, take the test, do extra credit and you w
