Dr. Fisher makes it really clear what he wants in speeches and if thats not delivered your grade will suffer. He assigns three speechs and requires extensive outlines that take a lot of time and work. The class overall just takes up too much time and if you dont have the time to put in, your grade will suffer. I wouldnt recommend him.

Very strict grader, downright anal when it comes to how he wants things done. Gruff and unapproachable, at times downright rude. If you really work for it, you should pass though(study, practice your speech).

By far the worst teacher and hardest class I have ever taken. I spent more hours researching and studying for his class than I did for my core science classes just to end up with a D. He has no clear grading scale and is arrogant. Went to his office repeatedly for help and none was given. Drop his class!!

Dr. Fisher is a pretty good professor. He grades entirely too hard on outlines and speeches though. If you desire an A you will have to work tremendously hard to get it. I feel that it was taught too hard for a 101 class. Don't take him if you have other choices, save yourself the time and disappointment.

He is a good teacher, but you have got to do your best in this class because it is not easy. He grades very strict. It's very important for you to do well on his quizzes because if you don't you will not get a good grade out of his class. So I advise you to do extremely well on his quizzes. He doesn't give points what you get is what you get.

Dr. Fisher is a great teacher. He is not arrogant, just very serious and professional. My speech class is fun and we have open discussions on the material. His grading standard is pretty high, since he's been doing this all his life and knows his stuff, so don't take it personal. He's easy to talk to and responds quickly when you contact him.

way too hard to be a 101 class. dr. fisher expects way too much from his students. definitely way nicer to the cute girls. DON'T BUY THE TEXTBOOK. you will learn alot but it's way to hard.

Dr. Fisher is not the easiest professor in speech. If you want an A, take another professor. He has high expectations that are little over the top for an intro class, but nevertheless, it's a good class. You will have to do speeches, he videotapes them and makes you critique yourself and there are "test" that count. Oh and he's super hot!! YUM!

Good guy, but very anal. He makes this class way harder than it should be. The focus is more on the procedure of the speech than on becoming a better speaker. I like him, but I'm just not thrilled with the way he teaches. Avoid this class if you're looking for an "easy" A.
