Comment:
Lectures were interesting and he was a cool prof. Tests were ridiculous. Didn't think he treated it like an intro course. The questions were very specific and I found it hard to keep the four texts straight. I read all of the books and studied a lot and still didn't get any A's on the tests I don't think. Got an A because of EC and my final paper.

Horrible professor. Nearly impossible exam questions. Avoid if at all possible.

Awesome guy. Horrible horrible class. Worst and harder class i have ever taken. Run. Simply run away. I am saving your life right now. Don't even think "challenge accepted". It will destroyed your time and GPA no matter what you do. I am doing you a favor.

He can be a fun professor and lets you watch videos and talks about interesting topics. The questions on his tests seem very tricky and very specific though. Take advantage of extra credit and read all of the books.

Fernandez lectures well, but he doesn't care about students. His tests are extremely hard even if you study. Why even try if he's going to make the test impossible. I would not recommend him

Took online with him. Do not take unless you love writing papers. He also grades papers like your a grad student. This is supposed to be an introductory course. I took one of my papers hr gave ne a D ob to another prof who teaches same class in the department and he could not believe the grade I got. He said it was a B paper not a D.

Talks non stop and always gets off topic. Must read book. Purposely tries to confuse you on test. Not an easy A.

talked at the class instead of trying to actually teach us. It seemed like he felt so superior to "uncultured and spoiled american teenagers." You absolutely have to read and pay attention to pass. It is so hard to stay awake and listen. I would not recommend. He was my least favorite professor at ball state.

Nice guy. Boring Lectures. Tests aren't hard if you read the book, study and show up to class. TONS of extra credit to bring your grade up. He really wants everyone to pass.

Ricardo is a nice guy who has a genuine love of archeology, but attending his class means you will fall asleep in class and drench your notebook in drool at least twice a week. His exams are humorous and show that hidden somewhere is a sense of humor.
