All assignments are take-home, and you can ask her for help with anything at anytime. She's sweet and explains stuff well in class, albeit a little slow. If you struggle with math, definitely take her, but if you do well with math she may be to easy for you.

I loved ODE with Kent. Her notes on Bb are more valuable than the book. The lectures were so clear and in depth that there was no reason to be lost. The homework is mostly participation (AKA, you tried) and the exams are take-home. If you mess up a test, she'll let you correct it. This class was about learning, not testing. GRADE A PROFESSOR!

B for Teacher quality: She has very high rates because she is for non-majors and majors but, teachers like a non-major she is easy bro. A- for clarity: She is clear on all assignments and everything is take home. Dr. Kent is one of the nicest, most understanding professors at VCU. Though she doesn't require attendance, she is willing to help anyone during office hours. Her class consists of homework and take-home tests, and you can work with her or friends on all of them! Definitely take any class she teaches!

Amazing Teacher. Will take the time to even go over the homework with you one on one. Makes sure you understand it. Is there at her office almost every day and will make sure she has time for everybody. She gives lots of extra credit too.

If you are afraid to take calculus, then take Ms. Kent. She will erase your fears as she did mine. She is an AWESOME professor! She takes her time when teaching the material. Some students thought she was too slow, but not me. Ms. Kent was always eager to answer our questions. You can tell she really loves her job!

She was one of the best math profs I've encountered at VCU. Some of the homework assignments were difficult as the concepts were explained in class and not the book. Take-home tests were sometimes difficult, but its a fair trade-off for being allowed many days to obtain the right answers. She was very helpful, and always available to answer ?s.

Dr. Kent is amazing! She is kind, respectful, & understanding with her students -even the idiot/lazy engineers. EVERTHING in this class is take home. No textbook - all her notes and examples are posted online. This is a NO-STRESS class -yet you learn! I have all the respect in the world for Dr. Kent. She is among the very best. Terrific!

Dr Kent is amazing! She's so nice and really wants you to learn the material. Homework was graded based on completion, not correctness. All exams were take-home. I didn't feel like she made the exams extremely hard because they were take-home like a lot of other profs do.

There isn't much else to say. She really goes out of her way to help you to learn. Everybody knows that this is an easy 'A' but what's really great about her is that if you really want to know the subject she will explain it so well that you will truly understand the material, which is important for those that are genuinely interested in math.

I've had Dr. Kent for many math classes while at VCU. It's like everybody else says, great teacher. She doesn't subject her students to a grand inquisition as other teachers will, she just wants you to learn. Probably one of the best people that I've ever met.

I took Kent for both calc 200 and 201, and i HATE math..this is the easiest class you'll EVER take. All the homework and tests are takehome, and u don't have to go to class, awesome teacher, and a guaranteed A!!!!!! :)

OMFG, Dr. Kent is amazing. She is one of the nicest people I have ever met, EVER. She will spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars for her students to print out and make copies, etc. She is just an angle. People like her dont exist. She cares about her students geniunely.
