Professor Detmer is an awesome teacher and should be taken by anyone. She allows time for questions, thoroughly explains topics, and is understanding about needing to make-up exams. DETMER IS A GREAT TEACHER, hands down. From my describing her, my mom wishes she took her class!

I am not good at math at all, but she really makes this class super easy!I got A's and B's on all exams and hardly studied. All you have to do is show up to every class and pay attention.She gives you notes already outlined so you can follow along in class. NEVER any curve balls on the test, she covers EVERYTHING you need to know for your test! :)

She simply slips up to many times to be up in the front of the class teaching kids who are following her every word. It seems to be tough for them. Im pretty good at math and got away with an A-. Just beware.

She is alright. Very nice, tries to help but not the best teacher. Just pulled a C. If your good a math, you'll fly through this. If not, either prepare to study alot or take someone else. 5 tests, drops 1 and retake that one in the last day of class, random hw quizzes, easy report and mathematician test that boost your grade.

Worst math teacher i've ever taken. DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER. She cannot explain anything, THIS IS MATH. She taught middle school ALGEBRA. She does not know how to teach thoroughly to explain ANYTHING.

I wouldn't recommend Mrs. Detmer at all to anybody. I took this course over the summer and her teaching was so fast that she doesn't make sure class understands before moving on. She teaches right out of the book and expects you to understand it right away without many examples. Take another professor or another course.

If you want to TEACH YOURSELF, take her. she does not teach she just does the math problems and expects you to understand without explaning the problem. She talks very fast and stumble over her words. After she completes a problem on the board the class has to correct her.WORST MATH TEACHER EVER!!! The course is not that hard, but SHE makes it so.

OMG! Do not take her, she talks so fast that you can't keep up with her. Horrible teacher! At the beginning of the class she tells you that there is only a 50% success rate for passing the class, and if you take her you will fail!!!!

This is a great teacher is you dont know much about math. If you do then she will nit pick everything by making you show every ounce of work. She won't even take you on your word that you can add. It is very annoying and time consuming to be treated like you are in the third grade. If you are alright with math take someone else definitely.

This professor is so helpful. Her style, esp. in the area of math is a breath of fresh air. This class is better to take before Statistical Methods. Prof. Detmer cares.

Horrible. Makes the class much more of a pain in the ass than it has to be. If you are incapable of grasping grammar school level stuff, take her, she will hold your hand right through it. If you are, however, intelligent, she will make life much more difficult than it needs to be with her constant hand-holding and anal retentive rules.

If math is not your forte, then take Ms. Detmers class. She will answer any and all of your questions without making you feel bad, and gives lots of opportunities to get a good grade. As long as you do the homework, you are sure to pass.
