Comment:
Professor was not willing to work with me regarding my grade. She showed a lack of caring. The only grades were 5 exams and a few extra credit assignments. Lectures are long and easy to fall asleep in but you have to go to get the information, nothing is posted on canvas except for textbook reading assignments and a study guide for each exam.

I LOVE DR. MALONE! She is such an amazing teacher and she makes history more interesting and easy to learn. She is very passionate about teaching history and as long as you go to class and study for the tests you should do just fine. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs HIS150!

Dr. Malone does a GREAT job at explaining information and making sure her students understand it. Attendance is not required, but if you don't show up, you will NOT pass. HIST 150 grades are strictly exams and the occasional extra credit which I recommend because there will be questions on the exams over the reading material in the extra credit.

Malone is so fun to have in class, she always tries to make her lectures fun and intriguing for her students and gives lots of visual examples. Attendance isn't mandatory but if you skip class you will not do good on the exams. If you go and take notes, you'll pass easily.

Professor Malone is a wonderful teacher. She is very enthusiastic about everything she teaches and you can tell she really cares. A student asked a question about something she didn't know and the very next class she came and gave him a printout that she researched just to answer his question. Using the book helps but you may be able to avoid it.

Comment:
Dr. Malone tries to be engaging, the class itself is just lecture-based. It is solely graded upon tests with two small extra credit opportunities. The tests require a good amount of studying to do well. However, she is nice and will help you if you need it. If I would've done both EC opportunities I would have gotten an A; it's not too difficult.

Comment:
Dr Malone's corny puns and passion for history really make this class entertaining. She's nice and caring, especially if you go to her office hours before an exam and ask for help. She offers two EC assignments that will boost your grade up, but the tests do require some work to study for. If you go to class and take good notes you should do well!!

She's a fine professor. She tries to be engaging, but it's just a lecture-heavy class. Take good notes, do ALL of the extra credit, and study for the tests and you should do well in the class!

Go to class and take note and there no reason you shouldn't get a B or higher. Getting an A isn't that hard but you will have to work a little for it. Offers extra credit assignments (DO THEM!) they will boost your grade a lot, she is overall a great teacher that makes class interesting

She is an amazing professor. She is funny and engaging and passionate about history. The tests are mostly lecture based and include extra content like poems or photos in the presentation. If you go to class and take notes, it is hard to not pass.

Dr. Malone is very friendly and engaging and I loved having a professor that is very passionate about the subject they're teaching. However, most of her tests are based on information that she goes over only in lecture and isn't covered on the outlines she posts. She also uses photos from class lectures a lot on the tests so make sure to take note.

Professor Malone is hands down one of my all-time favorite professors. She is incredibly passionate about history and she proves that in every lecture. While the criteria is lecture based, it is difficult to not enjoy her lectures. Her sense of humor is unique and she inspired me to minor in History. I hope to have her again.

Professor Malone was the best professor for History 150! She is very very friendly, she cares a lot about her students and is very engaging. She doesn't give boring lectures, she usually makes a few puns and has very fun energy that made me laugh and kept me engaged. I strongly recommend taking history with her, she is one of my favorite professors

Love love love, she was an awesome professor. Attendance isn't mandatory but she says stuff in lecture that will be on the tests so it's important to show up. You'll need the book but don't bother reading the full chapter, she puts the page numbers you need to read on the study guide.

I will never not recommend Dr. Malone. She gives the best lectures, is not a tough grader, and is always willing to help students who need it. This is the second class I've taken with her, and I'm signed up for another (and will be writing my thesis with her) in the fall. She is knowledgeable, kind, and just overall amazing. Take her classes!

Dr. Malone is one of the best core curriculum profs I've had. She understand you probably would rather do something else, so she makes the class fun and pretty easy. Only grades tests and optional extra credit. Gives test questions on Fridays. I've never read the book and currently have B-B+ in the class. Super nice and willing to help you.

I never used the book, but I attended every lecture. Gave test questions on Fridays. Only grades are tests and 2 optional papers. Very kind lady, cracks lots of jokes. Great personality, very passionate about history. Lets her TA's run review sessions, so I always skipped those. Tests are rough if you don't look over study guides. Very consistent.

Textbook barely used and she tells you what pages to read. Use the one in the library if you really want to. She's a good professor, lectures are fun and she is so caring. She gets personal with a large class in a genuine way. Makes material easy to understand.
