Comment:

Carrie is very knowledgable and has a funny sense of humor. Her courseload is VERY hard but this is to be expected when you are taking an online course esp STATS. She cares to help you improve, tough grader on your reflection pieces, (words matter, use them correctly). She is very attentive and responsive to your needs. Message her anytime!

Comment:

Homework wasn't hard or the tests if you do the reviews many of the questions are the same or similar. there was quiet a bit of work per week 3 homework sections, 3 group posts, 1 refection and normally 1 project. I was getting frustrated with how rough she was at grading written responses & reflections hardly ever got full points frustrating.

Im sure Carrie is a wonderful person, but that doesnt equate a good teacher. Her feedback was vague, she made you feel dumb for asking a question, and she was horrible at keeping up with grading, so it was hard to know where one stood in the course. Would not recommend. Poor math teacher and rather rude tbh.

Carrie Kyser is an incredible online instructor! Her class is very well structured, and she gives many resources for success. She also responds very quickly! She makes herself very available, but she does have expectations for her class. She is very caring! There were many instances where Kyser offered leniency to students. This is a great class!

Not a hard math class. She understands that most people don't like math and she's willing to help. She may come off a bit short but her feedback is helpful. As long as you do the work you'll be fine. Homework is very short.

Unhelpful, doesn't help any students and treats it as an online class. Makes you feel stupid when you ask questions about the homework. No use in having her as a teacher since you have to learn it all on your own.

Absolutely terrible. All lectures were online, and they were of very poor quality. I basically had to learn all of the material from other sources. If you aren't good enough at math to be able to that, I would not take this course with her. She is also unclear on expectations. I have always loved math but this instructor was incredibly frustrating.

I had read her reviews before taking her class and honestly was a big frightened. Personally, Carrie is one of the best Professors I've ever had, she has made math much more enjoyable and easy to learn. Between using MOM and her class, I really like her teaching style because it enables all of the work and learning to truly be done in class.

Carrie is such a sweet human being. She really works hard to make sure you feel comfortable with the information, and is ready to help you in any way. I loved her!

She is the best! She is always happy to help and is very reliable. She's just an over all nice person. I struggle with math, so her teaching style helped me be successful in her course. I've already recommended her to some of my friends that are going to be taking STAT. I took it online and the way she has it formatted makes it so simple, even fun.

Carrie has a cold sense of humor, and she is funny, but when you try to talk about assignments, like asking for clarification, shes a little brusk and kind of rude, like its not worth her time to explain what needs to be done. She is good at giving help with the math, but not when it comes to explaining assignments.

I almost didn't take this class after I read the reviews. I emailed her quite a bit because I was struggling and anxious. She turned out to be really empathetic and responds to emails in about a day. It was taken online and it's organized in an easy way to navigate. Stats is hard. It's not an easy A. There's definitely worse people to take it with.

Carrie is one of the best professors I have ever had, NO wait, she is THE best I have ever had. She is understanding, caring, and explains everything in many ways to help you understand. I have had the hardest term in my life dealing with personal issues one after another, carrie has been very accommodating. She also has the best jokes. Thank you!

She is one of the worst teachers I have ever had. I am a very good student that works hard and does well. I have tried so hard in this class to no avail. She grades too harshly, and when I ask questions, I either get no response, a sarcastic one, or a snarky comment in a condescending tone. She also never answers emails. I DO NOT recommend her.

I took this class online and would not suggest it for anyone else. The material was not hard but the teaching style was bad. Group projects weekly, never replies to emails and is rarely caught up with the class. She would forget to post material but still post due dates causing late work that we never got. Find a different teacher.

Done great at many CCC math classes. I enroll and this class, and with a combination of horrible text book material, faulty and frustrating homework/test platform (online class), and overall not very helpful/condescending teacher, this class been pathetic. Find another teacher if possible.
