Professor Wright is an extremely caring prof but you do have to work in her class. Everything that will be on a test is always answered in lecture and take advantage of her study sessions because she goes over everything you need to know. 10/10 will take another class with her. She is very easy to access outside class and so willing to help.

Comment:

She's clear about what she expects. Doesn't get bogged down in theological messes, just focuses on learning the historical context. She was very encouraging to me and always left comments that gave me confidence in my writing skills.

Amazing person, rough professor. If you are interested in the bible she would be a great match. Also, if you need real attention, she always wants to help you do better. However, rather monotone and not very colorful.

There is a study guide for each exam, and she answers the questions in her lectures everyday. You don't even need to take notes if you answer the study guide questions thoroughly, and the text material will come from the study guide (just know it well!!)

Very hard to stay awake during lectures. Hard to find her outside of classroom. Exams have tricky wording. Uses in-class short assignments daily instead of keeping attendance.

She lectures the entire time in a monotone. Her tests are difficult and are almost designed to confuse the student. She is not very personable and takes little time to care for students. In my opinion, take Intro to Bible with someone else.

Very easy but pretty monotone. She doesn't respond to emails and will never learn your name.It's pretty easy and homework is simple but it get very old after a while

Her teaching style is very flat and monotone. I was very interested in the class, but it was not very fun with her teaching style. We did the same type of lecture every day. I only got something out of the class because I actually read the Bible sections to learn it for myself. Lots of information that I didn't retain.

Her classes are very monotonous and she needs to go over the tests better. I didn't like the last test because she didn't let us take notes during the "study session." I had to use my own answers to my question and only got a C on the test.
