A lot of reading to be done in his class , expect quizzes very frequently , no tests . Be to class on time , and for Gods sake do not skip . He is a very tough grader when it comes to papers , i have never achieved an A on any of the essays . Participate in class he really stimulates your mind about matters in life and asks many questions .

Comment:

Kostoff presents English in a really cool, real-life way. I took him for Lit 250 and he always picked readings that we could relate too. He loves to make you question your own life and really think with an open mind. I always looked forward to his class! Writing assignments are easy and you can pass the reading quizzes by just scanning.

First things first, I hated every moment I spent in this class room. That is not an exaggeration. I hated, and became physically sick, every time I was in his class room. Don't listen to anyone that says you should take this man. He is horrible, and probably the devil. No. Not probably. He is the devil. I hate him. With all of my being.

I really enjoyed his class, the papers and work were very easy and interesting. He's always willing to help, and you usually get out of class 10 to 15 minutes early if it's an hour and fifteen minute class. Take him for English!!

He is an amazing professor. Does not want you to have homework, so he gives you time to do it in class, and NEVER gives homework over a break. He's really helpful if you have any questions, and he makes the class fun and easy. Obviously it's work, but he makes it seem simple. Take him if you can!!!

Amazing teacher! Discusses homework for that night at the beginning of class so he makes sure you understand completely. No textbook, just novels and papers are almost simple. He is very passionate about english and knows what he is talking about. Grades fairly and helps as much as you need him to.

I took him for 200 and really liked him, so I took 380, which is Fiction writing. He really is the best professor I've ever had and he's a really cool guy to talk to when he isn't busy. He also has published a couple book. A Choice of Nightmares and Late Rain are really good if you ever get the chance to read them, you should.

Awesome! I've hated English my entire life. Not anymore. I actually look forward to his class. He explains things great and is a very easy grader. The quizzes are odd though. You have to make sure you remember the little details of the assigned reading. I hear my English professor is good for 200 but I am sad to be out of his class next semester.

Prof. Kostoff is a really interesting teacher. On more than one occasion I would read through a story for class and say "What did that even mean?" and when I got to class the next day Dr. Kostoff would have a great analysis that would make it all clear. I recommend him; he's a really smart guy. You will use your book alot, but it's a pretty easy A.

Comment:

Mr. Kostoff taught a really good class. The work wasn't that bad as long as you worked on it as you went. Slacking off would bite you in the butt! I suggest taking him because you will learn a lot and leave the class with a new sense of writing. I enjoyed the class but found it a bit boring at times. Over all the experience was very positive!

Very easy and helpful. He grades very fairly, and has around six or seven grades. His comments on your writing should help you make well on subsequent assinments, and he will try to help you. I would highly recommend him to anyone!
