Extremely knowledgable prof, really well rounded in both the information she knows and what she teaches. Slightly disorganized but not so much that it negatively impacted the class. Would reccommend to anyone who is entering into a studio class with prior knowledge of the subject.

Comment:
I had Celia on my committee and I found her very helpful. She knows a lot about painting and paint, and brings a lot of different ideas out there. Celia went out of her way for me to meet with me, once even when she was sick, and offered advice and encouragement. She also recognises that there are issues with the school of art.

She helped me alot with my thesis statement, which got me into grad school. She's brought a real spirit of professionalism to the school, with lots of new programs.

She's not a dummy, but her comments on art are very conservative. Very much against more contemporary art and theory, which is ok, but she really presses the opinion too much on others...her talks in the seminar were convoluted and more for herself then students. Does she know an artist outside the 'bay area'?
