Pashman is a difficult professor, but he knows his stuff and is pretty interesting IF YOU LIKE PHILOSOPHY. People take Phil b/c they think it's an easy class. It's not. It's a ton of reading & a lot of work. If you like Philosophy, you'll like Pashman. Good grader. Fair. But hard.

Dr. Pashman is a great professor if you're interested in philosophy. He definitely knows his subject well. Attendance is mandatory. He only gives a midterm and final, and an optional term paper. As long as you read and pay attention in class, you should do fine. Intro to philosophy class covers Kant, B.F. Skinner, and Sartre.

This is a good class. Many people prolly sayin its boring and they are right but its an easy midterm and final class. Pashman explains everything to u pretty well and gives u everything u need before the midterm or final. As long as u go to class and stay awake u will pass no problem

He seems like a nice guy, but I'm not going to lie.. HE IS BBBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG!! IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO STAY AWAKE IN HIS CLASS...IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE, TAKE A DIFFERENT PROFESSOR. His jokes are not funny...he's the only one who laughs at them. like other people said he is boring but if u go to class most of the time he explains everything and gives u the notes u need to pass the essay midterm and final. The only reason you would fail this class is if u never went and didn't bother looking over the notes. I got a B+ on the midterm and a B on the final. I didn't even study that much.

He's by far my favorite teacher, and a nice guy if you ever talk to him after class. He knows more about philosophy than most of us could ever hope to, and finds a way to simplify complex ideas so that anyone can understand. Reading the book isn't nessesary if you listen to him and take good notes. Do that, and you'll ace the class.

All he did the EVERYDAY was read directly from the book. Final and midterm, all essay. There was also a final paper, only 6 pages. The class did really well on the midterm so he dropped the final. For the paper he said to ask any question realating to philosophy. He was IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of NEVER returned any of our calls or emails.
