30 years ago, I was a returning student going for an engineering degree, started back at community college. Great professor, truly there to help students. I am a mechanical engineer, hold two grad degrees, 5 state professional licenses, worked in industry, and am not a professor for many years. THANKS to professors like Chuck Hollenbeck.

I took physics back in 1985/1986 with Hollenbeck. He was an excellent physics teacher and extremely fair. I remember waiting to take the tests outside his classroom and sitting in chairs with the adjacent chairs tipped down so no one would cheat. He would always write "read the book" and I would just use the laws to solve the problems LOL!

Nice to see all these recent great reviews. Took Physics for Engineering series with Mr. H. mid-1980’s then completed BS in Chemical Engineering at Cal Poly Pomona, then worked in the industry 25 years and still remember much about his classes/tests…he was one of the best professors I ever had.

HAVING COMPLETED HIS PHYSICS COURSES, THERE IS NO BETTER TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD. HE DEMANDS A LOT FROM HIS STUDENTS AND TELLS YOU SO IN THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR. You could not ask for a more organized and precise professor for such a difficult subject. Trust me, he is the nicest guy and will go out of his way to help you but the only chance you have passing this class is if you're not lazy. You have to work your butt off to earn your grade. DO THE HOMEWORK! It helps pass the tests when you go through it

great and organized person! he is probably the best teacher that chaffey has. he pretty much lecture on what will he give on the test, gives us a lot of practice test, homework are a lot but most of them are interesting and helpful. recommended for engineering majors!

Great teacher. explains everything clearly. Tests are hard, and he gives alot of homework, but if you do the homework, then you will do well on the test. Also gives great review for the test. In my 2 years of taking him, the ones that did bad were the one who didn't do the homework. I didn't ace every class but I learned the material(2-A's & 2-B's)

Hollenbeck is a very organized professor. I think that the tests he gives are very hard, but fair. The class requires work. Physics requires a lot of practice and the students who do not like Hollenbeck are just upset that they didn't make the cut. I got a B+ in 45 and an A- in 46, and I worked hard
