I used to hate math before I took this class. I have high respect for this professor. Her way to solve problems is perfect. She knows what she's talking about and she is really underrated. ANYWAY if you focus in class, take good notes, and do the homework, you will pass with an A. She gives you many chances to make up your grades.

One of the best math professors ever! Breaks everything down to the simplest way and teaches multiple methods to suit multiple learning styles; gives test based on study guides and practice test.

Comment:

Fantastic teacher although she is very quiet and her accent can be at times a little tough to understand, she has a great sense of humor and is very understanding of any struggle you may be dealing with in the class. Her tests are rather easy, if you reference her practice tests, which basically hold the same questions.

Professor Flatte is an amazing teacher!! I am currently in her 092 class and she is always so helpful whether I need help with the homework or need to review for an upcoming test!!! She is the sweetest professor here at Northeastern that I have ever met and I hope that I can have another class with her soon!!!!

She is one of the best teacher of intermediate math in NEIU. she is not only the best teacher but a wonderful woman.I have learnt alot in her class than ever in my whole life (trust me),,, she starts from basic and gradually goes up,solves the problems step by step and she gives extra time after if u want,exam are pretty easy, easy A.

At first she kinda intimidated me, the accent didn't help. But she is SO nice and after you actually sit there and listen to her you will learn a lot. She is a good teacher. She lets us use handouts on the test. It's really helpful. I got my first "A" EVER on a math test lol.

Dr. Flatte is just the nicest and sweetest woman who just happens to love what she teaches. How can you ever say anything negative about a woman (her accent is Russian people!) who goes through problems step by step, writes down the rules and gives examples? You cannot ask for more! But she will give you all she has and more - in order to help you!

Prof.Flatte goes over the material in great detail which is very helpful if you're struggling to understand specific rules or operations.Tests r straight forward & she tells you what to expect.Thick (german?) accent but you'll get used to it. Shes a very sweet lady unless you come in late. Show up on time and do all the homework and you'll be fine.

I really liked her class, i had a math teacher before her and i had to drop the class because i wouldn't understand his way of teching. Dr.Flatte explains with details and i was able to understand fully.

At first i thought for sure that i would drop the class cuz she had a very thick accent but if you give it time you'll come to better understanding her. She gave extra credit for simply participating and answering questions. She explains problems in detail too. Give it some time and if you do the homework, the class will go good.

You can't miss a class, at least if you take her in the summer. It does take a while to completely understand her (thick accent.) If you do catch on quick with math, she can sometimes be confusing because she shows everything SOOO detailed (like for someone who has never even seen a number!) I liked her teaching style, but most in my class did not.

Prof. Flatte was horrible! It was hard to understand her even when I did the homework.When a student asked her a question, she couldn't explain it properly.Everyone was confused and lost.More than half the class dropped the class!!

At first you might think it'll be a nightmare because you cant understand her, but give it a couple of days and you'll understand fine. She is very good at explaining step by step. MAKE SURE YOU DO THE HOMEWRK. without doing homework the class will become harder to pass. The tests are reasonable if you study! Great overall!

Very good professor. First math class I took at NEIU- she gave me confidence. She is very nice and helps during class to help learn concepts. She is sometimes hard to understand, but very kind.
