I had Mr Chiwocha way back in 1985 when they still called it Western Civ. I liked him, his accent was not incomprehensible but I took a little getting used to. When he had to steer us back on course he would offer to pick the subject back up over a Schlitz light at the Garage after class. He helped me discover an interest in history I still have.

Promised extra credit for people who didn't miss any classes and participated each day; I was there on time everyday and contributed to every class discussion, and I got no extra credit. Which sucked, because I'd have gotten a 4.0 with the promised extra

He is always talking about the meaning of life, never anything that deals with the class. His class is EASY because he gives you study questions and you look them up in the book, and those EXACT study question are the Exam questions. He is the head of the history department - How he got theis job I don't Know, bc he is a very horrible teacher.

Kind of reminds me of the monkey from "Lion King". :) Made the class exciting and fun, despite challenging course work. His stories really make history interesting. I very seldom enjoy a humanities class, but I enjoyed his class so much I signed up for World Civ II even though I didn't need it.

He is a horrible teacher. He talks about everything except what is on his tests. He is a jerk. I was in the hospital for almost a week, had an ER letter, one from the doctor, and one for my family physicain and he still wouldn't let me get an incomplete because I missed a test that week.

Is a hard professor, isn't very open to you questioning his ideas, is well organized and although I got a 4.0 in his class I wouldn't recommend him. There are a lot of other history professors who are tons better!
