This was the hardest class of nursing school, dr g is all over the place while teaching she uses a whistle and had assigned seats. She is a tough grader. Didnt get through all the material, spends to much time telling stories in class. cant inagine what it would be like having to work in the field with her,

She is full of condescension. Her emails will make you feel about two inches tall and she will NOT respond to yours. The Dean is powerless against her because she is tenured. She is malicious and will withhold your grades for spite just because she can, even when youre three days away from graduation. Avoid her if you value your sanity.

Dr. G is extremely tough on you during clinicals and expects you to know your stuff. I have currently been a nurse for 6 years. Her class was the toughest of all but I actually think it made me become a better nurse. She pushes you to your potential and I am grateful for that. All I have to say is be prepared!

Dr G is an amazing woman! She is highly intelligent and loves to teach. This semester is tough and she makes you work and use your brain, but I am so grateful that she has done that, she makes you see things from a different prospective. If you are lazy and expect a handed out grade don't bother to take this course. Great instructor!!

I understand the subject matter can be critical. But this professor can be extremely destructive to a student's self esteem. Actually called a classmate stupid during a lecture. Professional during clinical but relie8s heavily on intimidation and humiliation techniques during lectures and pre/post conferences.

Dr. G is an amazing instructor. I had her for lecture and clinicals. Her passion for nursing is evident in everything she does. She has high expectations of her students and rightfully so. Yes, her sense of humor can take a while to catch on to but I will be a better nurse because of her dedication to teaching.

I didn't have her for clinical but I hear she is tough but she will walk you through it and you will learn a lot. For lecture, she tries to keep it interesting with small group projects/discussions or working with a partner. The tests are easy compared to 214. It's obvious that she loves to teach and she is always reading current literature.

the professor is very smart, easy to comprehend, but if you do not suck up and polish her ego WATCH OUT. She picks people to pick on and intimidate. I am doing well, her course work is not hard, but she can be very rude. When she finds her target she terrorizes them. Favoritism is shown.

All i can say is make sure you communicate with this professor.. If you are a student she is accquainted with she will perhaps give you that extra point to pass you...Talk to her! if your a quiet student and need an extra point she wont give it to you even if it is a fraction of a point to pass a class. If she doesnt know you your a nobody.

She finds a way to intimidate at least one person a semester and forces them to withdraw or fail. Makes you re-do care plans + + + would be better if you could use NANDA, NIC and NOC but she wants you to be her. God forbid if you don't agree with her! With another professor easily got an A - had an A w/tests in her class- she's a bad egg PhD!

Professor needs to lighten up - info is important but no one needs to be treated as a child. Dr. Glavinspiehs knows her stuff but would do well to use constructive criticism rather than destroying self-esteem and breaking someone's spirit. Student nurses learn by examples - if someone falls down, help them up and dust them off and show them how to
