Comment:

Cynde is by far one of the most helpful and influential professors I have ever had. Her teaching methods challenge you and push you to experiment in a variety of ways. I have take 2D-Design and Portfolio with her and if it hadn't been for her vast knowledge of the art world I would have never applied to art school and be at where I am today.

Cynde was very enthusiastic with both classes. She had a lot of information to share and was always eager to talk and help me develop as an artist, as long as you're willing to put in the work. It's been almost 10 years and she's still an inspiration in my life as an artist. Wonderful person and teacher to know.

OMG I totally expected the worst after reading some of the comments here, but Professor Miller is awesome. Seriously, I have never had a professor care so much about my work before. She really listens to you and is very helpful and inspiring. A great professor. Wish I could have her for all my classes. A must-take.

Cynde was one of the most passionate, helpful and creative professors I have ever had. She is open minded but firm in the way she instructs her class. Class was always fun and she had a great way of making every student in the class feel like an artist no matter what skill level. She is inspirational and dedicated to making her students successful.

This class helped me sucessfully transfer first choice school. Cynde goes out of her way to help you find your individual style as an artist, as well as helpful connections and resources. She is an awesome teacher and mentor. I have taken Art 32 and Art 10 with her.

She's an amazing teacher! She really knows her information and made the class so intriguing! My advice though: come to EVERY class, write down EVERYTHING she writes on the board and triple check you know the homework because she's sometimes unclear about it. She grades on effort not ability, so give it full effort and you'll def pass with an A :)

Friendly and willing to answer any question, but can be patronizing. I felt patronized the entire semester. The worse I did at art, the more patronizing sympathy I got. Also, I was confused by her grading. My grade was lower than it should have been, and I got A's in practically anything (for effort, mostly). Be warned

she really knows her stuff & encourages the "artist" in everyone.even if u suck she'll find a way to complement you and tell you how interesting you are.shes a great teacher, get through the first 2 projects and you'll do just fine.I missed a project, and a class, didnt do the field trip, missed a few sketchbook due dates & still got an A.
