Appreciated her teaching style, come to class with the reading done (because she'll call on you out of the blue anyways) and Prof Johnston will help you make connections and push your understanding of the course material. Tedious papers and a lot of work for a 200 level but worth it. And a very nice woman on top of that.

I had Johnston for Child and Adolescent development, and it was my favorite class. You learn a lot from her. The class is very open, you will get to know everybody through group work, and she creates a positive atmosphere. Lectures are mainly her leading you to understand concepts, but not straight out telling you. Great class. Lots of reading.

She's a really hard grader, which sucks because she doesn't assign more than 3 papers and they're worth a large portion of your grade. Lots of reading. Going in for help wasn't all that helpful. She also plays favorites.
